![]() Author has written 4 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Wow, it's been a long time since I've been on this website. It literally says I last updated anything in 2017--three whole years ago. I definitely didn't mean to be gone so long, especially because I planned to--FINALLY--update Popstar Paradise like almost 2 years ago. It's no excuse, but life got in the way, I guess, so if anyone sees this who was anticipating an update, I'm sorry it took so long. And yes, you read that correctly. I'll actually be updating Popstar Paradise; in fact, the next chapter is written and should be up tomorrow (2/28/2020) after I make a few edits. Name: TwistedTrident, but feel free to give me a nickname if it so suits you! Grade/Occupation: I am a freshman in college, majoring in English with a concentration in writing! Ultimately, my dream is to become a published fiction writer, but in the mean time, I'm content with serving frozen yogurt in a little shop near my house. Favorite Books: Anything written by Rick Riordan or Alexandra Bracken! "Quite frankly, I'd read their grocery lists!" (And I will give a virtual high five to whoever can tell me what book/movie that's from). The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. And about a thousand others that would take me 20 years to name them all! Odds are, though, if it's young adult fiction, I've read it!! Story Updates: New Popstar Paradise Chapter coming Feb. 28 Currently Reading: Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken. Fantastic read. 10/10 would recommend. However, start with the first book, Passenger! Happy Reading, ~TwistedTrident Inspiring Quotes "And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath "The Six Golden Rules of Writing: Read, read, read, and write, write, write." Ernest Gaines "Forget all the rules. Forget about being published. Write for yourself and celebrate writing." “Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.” -Dr. Seuss "Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It’s the one and only thing you have to offer." "Get it down. Take chances. It may be bad, but it’s the only way you can do anything really good." "Everybody walks past a thousand story ideas every day. The good writers are the ones who see five or six of them. Most people don’t see any." - Orson Scott Card "Exercise the writing muscle every day, even if it is only a letter, notes, a title list, a character sketch, a journal entry. Writers are like dancers, like athletes. Without that exercise, the muscles seize up." - Jane Yolen "Writing is its own reward." "What you do for yourself dies with you. What you do for others and the world remains and is immortal." Albert Pine "We cross our bridges when we come to them and burn them behind us, with nothing to remember of our progress but the smell of smoke and the presumption that once our eyes watered." Tom Stoppard "Everyone wants happiness, no one wants pain, but you can't get a rainbow without a little rain." "There is a sacredness in tears. They are not a mark of weakness but of power. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love." Washington Irving "There are things we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go." Unknown Dear bullies, See that girl you just called fat? She is starving herself. You know that girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting on make-up hoping people will like her. That boy you just tripped? He is abused enough at home. See that old man you made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country. See that young boy you just made fun of for always being sick? He has to walk home in the snow cause his family is too poor. That guy you just made fun of for crying? His mother is dying. Re-Post this if you are against bullying. I bet many of you won't. Your life is probably not as harsh as theirs, plus you're probably a douchebag. This is weird, but interesting!
