Hello, kittens. First off, I'm still alive. Thank you to all who have PM'ed and messaged to keep tabs on me. Writing time is preciously slim these days but fear not, I'm still plucking away. Here's the latest rundown: Recompense is still top priority and slated to finish by May of this year.

For those interrested, I've made a catalog of the upcoming stories that I have been plotting on the sidelines. They are as follows (in no particular order):

Collide (working title), a novel length work which will be a sequel to both Double Helix and Recompense.

Faulkner's Gate, a short story following a new story line and characters in the Haloverse.

Broken Hallelujah, a novelette length (?) song fic featuring all known versus of the late Leonard Cohen's song Hallelujah. It will be set in ancient Sangheili times telling the tragic story of Odura and Herra 'Berovai (Daniel's ancestors).

Just a Number, a short story featuring the cast of Double Helix as they prepare to celebrate Iruu's birthday.

128 Years, a novel length work which will tell Iruu's life story from his first memory up to the fall of the Covenant and his assignment on Earth.

Scion, a short story that occurs after the Recompense story line.

Things Unholy (working title), a novella length work which will tell the story of a young adult L'shy and serve as a follow-up to Collide and sequel to Faulkner's Gate.

Recompense: Lost Scenes, a collection of all the "rabbit hole" side stories and back stories (chapter length) that occured during the time line of, but not included in, the main story. Thus far it will include Another Man's Children, the story of how Penny and Kote got together; Brother's Keeper, a work telling the story of how N'Rule came to Christianity; and Damned (working title),a short all about the night Allison and Dak got together before the big battle. If anyone has any further suggestions or things they want expanded on that could make a short story, I am open to suggestions, however, this will not take priority.

So, here's the rundown: real life stuff going on (being a grown-up, it stinks but I gotta), still writing, no one panic.

I will be finishing my current WIP no matter how long it takes between updates. My *goal* for 2016 in fandom land here is to have Recompense completed by the two-year mark (May 2016) and THEN get another Halo story up and finished by the end of the year. That story (Faulkner's Gate) is already through outlining and into scene construction, the *only* thing I'll have to do is write it, ha! Be aware that I'm also toying with original works (non-fanfiction), so plase be patient.

I do not have a beta profile but I am happy to help other writers with editing, proofreading, and technical advice (my fanfom knowledge is limited to Halo, Aliens, and Mass Effect, in that order; and RL technical knowledge includes story construction, military, medical, and science, not necessarily in that order).
