Wow. Been a long time since I've been on this site.

So, if anyone is wondering about Leave Me Behind or XME:S5 I have some not-so-fun news. Due to A) shifting interests, B) the fact that it has been such a long time since I've been properly exposed to the material I'd be writing about, and C) The fact that I lost chunks of the next chapters of both when my old computer died, both of those stories are on semi-permanent hiatus. Might I go back to them? Anything is possible.

Currently I'm working on several different personal projects, but the offering I'm sharing here is Fever-- a Firefly/Serenity fan fiction. Firefly is easily my favorite of all of Joss Whedon's work. It's tragic that it was cut so short. . . so I'm filling in the gaps with stories I would have liked to see. One thing I do like to do is preserve the sanctity of the Canon-- so no weird Rayne/Jaylee relationships, and, despite the fact that they're my favorite couple, Simon and Kaylee will not be consummating their relationship in any of my stories. . . unless they're post-Serenity. Which Fever isn't.

It's actually pretty fun to write fan-fiction again, but this is literally the first one I've written in years. Seriously, the closest I've come to fan fiction is playing on an X-Men based PbP RPG board. Right now, even that's beginning to bore me.
