Author has written 1 story for Justice League. I can't say I've felt "Love at First Sight" for a person, but I knew from the first page of Peter Pan that it was one of my all-time favorite books. I've always found J.M. Barrie's description of Mary fascinating. She is described as a woman whose soul is like a Russian nesting doll, a box within a box within a box. Likewise, I think of myself as a Dreamer whose Hopes and Dreams, though compacted in my mind, are as limitless as those infinite boxes. As impossible and semi-awkward as it is to describe myself, below are excerpts from my favorite books, poems, plays, and dichos from good friends in my real life. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas The Bible KJV The Book of Mormon October Sky by Homer Hickam Jr. Watership Down by Richard Adams A Walk in Wolf Wood by Mary Stewart The Secret Journal of Brett Colton To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee The Ferguson Rifle by Louis L'Amour A Room with a View The Night Thoreau spent in Jail. (Technically this is a play. . .) Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand. (Technically this is a play too, but still. As a side note, Kevin Kline as Cyrano ranks as my favorite actor portrayal of the character.) Poesia by Pablo Neruda Starfish by Eleanor Lerman Any poetry by Billy Collins. What a boss. Some people talk and talk and never say a thing Some people look at you, an birds begin to sing Some people laugh and laugh and yet you want to cry Some people touch your hand, and music fills the sky --People by Charlotte Zolotov Any poetry by Wilfred Owen. The Soul by Joseph Addison The Peace of Wild Things by Wendell Berry "Jesse Eisenberg is going to play Lex Luthor?! What's his master plan, taking over the world through Facebook?" "A man's arm may launch a thousand spears, But a woman's face can launch a thousand ships" "You can have Romance without Love, like thunder without lightning. But it is Lightning that electrifies the stars." "The true Italy can only be found through quiet observation." --A Room with a View "The people who succeed and do not move on to a greater failure are the spiritual middle-classers." --Eugene O'Neill ". . .No matter how many times you have slipped or fallen, rise up. Your destiny is a glorious one. Stand tall and walk in the light of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. You are stronger than you realize. You are more capable than you can imagine. You can do it now." --Dieter F. Uchtdorf |
