Universes and themes that I enjoy in fan fiction

Power Rangers

The rangers grown-up: I don't know why, but I love the idea of when the rangers are older and are put in setting where they actually grow as characters. You never got that with the TV Show since it was for kids.

Tommy/Kim: When Kim dumped Tommy, it wrecked everything I knew (when I was 9 that is). They were THE couple (in my mind), so I always like different ways of how the break-up happened, and how they got together.

Exploring Jason's character: While Tommy and Kim are a little easier to write for, Jason is probably my favorite character to explore. He doesn't show much weakness, which is why his break-down in Island of Illusion Part 2 is so good... he finally shows his greatest fear, letting down his team.

Epic Adult re-versionings: A great example is JRaine's Dawn of Primacy. The thing is a work of art, in terms of the detail, the story telling, and development of characters. It's wonderful.

Well-Written Romance: The bar was set with Cheryl Roberts' "All I Want for Christmas." Hands down the best fic I've ever read, and that was over 7 years ago.

Cross-Overs: I love seeing the Rangers in other universes, which is what I want to primarily write about as well
