![]() Author has written 17 stories for How to Train Your Dragon, Misc. Games, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Prince of Egypt, Undertale, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Moi: Haddock/kingofthewilderwest/lefthanded-sans NOTE: BECAUSE I AM PERPETUALLY BUSY WITH WORK/LIFE, I *CANNOT* GUARANTEE CONSISTENT UPDATES (but I will do my best) Hello hello! The name's Haddock. It's wonderful to meet you! I am a professional linguist who works as a remote research consultant for academic and corporate linguistic projects (essentially, I take contracts to help people do linguistic-y things with their data!). I have background studying Linguistics, Music Composition, Philosophy, Leadership, and Cognitive Science at the university level. I enjoy drawing, composing music, analyzing television shows, playing musical instruments, playing video games, watching tennis, playing soccer, skiing, and reading everything from Ancient Greek philosophy to the latest fantasy novel. I tend not to bite, but when I do, it's just because I dished myself an enormous bowl of ice cream. The majority of my creative writing efforts are spent on original novels I hope to someday publish. When I am not obsessively poring over these projects, I also enjoy a little casual free time writing fanfiction! Because I am a casual fanfiction writer whose fics are fun side projects to my original stories, I do NOT prefer to receive constructive criticism here. That said, I am always extremely happy to receive a review or private message about my fanfictions. Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to comment! I cannot say enough how much I love reviews. I thank everyone who's ever posted a comment under my stories. Just so you know... while I read all reviews and feel touched by their words, I don't make a habit of responding to publicly posted reviews. This is because I don't know who wants a response and who doesn't. If you want a conversation and response, I'm very happy to chat with you in PMs, or you can let me know in your review itself that you would be interested in a direct response. Basically, just let me know clearly if you want to talk back-and-forth! You're always free to come by and talk to me here or on tumblr. Some particulars about my ratings: It's possible I've rated a few stories slightly differently than FFN guidelines(?), so here's an explanation to make everything clear what I mean by my ratings. K: Absolutely nothing could be considered questionable about this material. Unicorns would cry at the purity of the writing. K-Plus: Probably has occasional swears, mostly swears of a milder nature. Violence will be of the fun action-adventure sort. Deaths will be the Disney movie sort... they might occasionally happen but they won't be brutal. Think PG material with potential PG-13 language. T: Swears, blood, gore, and death are more than fair game. Do not be surprised at their presence. Basically, violence will be more gritty and people will be uncensored. M: Dark and uncomfortable concepts like torture may be included. If I ever hypothetically wrote anything sexual, that'd be M, too. M is reserved for things that would make Helheim cry or Freja blush. |
