Author has written 4 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean. UPDATE January 8, 2018. UPDATE February 23, 2016 I'm not dead yet! I recently got some lovely reviews that inspired me to get back to work on this thing. I've posted a couple chapters in the past week and have more almost ready to go. I really will finish it before the next PotC movie is released. I've been notified that the links I had in some of the author notes at the ends of various chapters are now all dead because Comcast eliminated our personal webpages where I had the photos, etc. hosted. I moved all the pics to a new site, but now I will have to re-read the story to find the links. As I find those links I'll be updating those chapters to fix them. So just in case sends out weird chapter update notices for old chapters, that's why. As I'm updating those links and re-reading chapters, I will be removing outdated author notes, especially ones begging for hits. My original wish for the story came true some time ago. It has well over 100,000 hits now. :) I will also be fixing problems that have spontaneously appeared in the chapters as has gone through its constant growing pains. I'm noticing spacing issues, random bizarre characters and other weird things that I know weren't there when I posted the chapters originally. UPDATE August 4, 2014 You simply MUST go watch the incredible movie trailer that SavvySparrowLuv created for "So Much To Learn". It is here now: http://*/*pbexsm6 (take out all the * in that URL--I put them in there so will display it). She did a fantastic job, and I’m really touched that the story inspired her to put the time and effort into making it. About AdhesivePrincess... Not that anybody reads this stuff, but here's me: Gender: female Born: 1959 (you figure it out--this is easier than having to update my age every year!). About me: I'm old. I remember when having 9 TV channels on your black and white television was a big deal. If you could manage to get the antenna to pick up the other 4 channels, you were living large. No remote controls either, you had to walk across the room to change the channel. Kept us kids skinny, changing channels for our dads. I remember vinyl records that skipped and scratched. God help me, I remember 8-track tapes. I remember what life was like before there was the internet, home computers, CD players, video recorders or DVDs. So that makes me a history expert, right? :) How ever did we survive back then? But I've always loved science, and I've always loved learning. Even before microchips took over the world I was a geek, long before being a geek was considered 'cool'. Now: I've been married since 1985, which is longer than I would guess most of the users on this board have been alive. ;') Household members include the original 1959 model spouse (also a geek, only he gets paid for it), and the pets who actually run the house. The critters are kind enough to allow us humans to live here too, as long as we bring home decent food from time to time. What I like: Farscape, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, well-written fanfics featuring those universes, and anything humorous that I trip across while searching out good stories in those subjects. And I LOVE the Protectors of the Plot Continuum. Google it. What I don't like: (soapbox mode on) Poor spellers who don't bother to use a spell checker, people who use text message abbreviations (ie., "CU L8TR") in publicly posted fanfics, stories written on sugar and/or caffeine highs, and MarySues. If you go to the trouble of writing something and posting it online so other people can read it, MAKE IT READABLE!! If you don't know what a MarySue is, Google it. You owe it to your potential readers to find out and avoid these things at all cost. (soapbox mode off) What's with the stupid screen name? A NOTE TO MY READERS: If you like my stories, please feel free to tell your friends on other forums, blogs, etc. about them. And if you mention me on a PotC forum, drop me a PM telling me where! I might like to check it out sometime. Like most of the writers out here, I adore getting reviews. Reviews make me happy, and they fuel my writing muse. I also welcome constructive criticism, and I still enjoy watching the numbers on my story hit counters climb. The more hits they get, the happier I am! Thanks to all who drop by my little fantasy corner of the 'net. --Adhesive Princess |
