INTRODUCTIONS

Hello, I am OfTheOcean.

I see you have found my profile.

I hope you enjoy it all, as nonsensical as it is... and I would simply adore it if you read and reviewed my stories.

Yours, with love.

FAVORITE BOOKS, FILMS AND TV SHOWS.

Big Hero 6. It's a funny film, but has a realistic reaction in terms of grief and learning to cope with it and all in all, it's such a clever, sensitive film and one well worth watching.

Rise of the Guardians. It was one of my old obsessions so I still have a soft spot in my heart for it. I like the way it explores the ideas of the old mythological figures we know and love so well and gives a fresh new spin to it.

Tangled. An awesome adventure and an obscure metaphor about the trials and tribulations of growing up and falling in love, all bundled into one brilliant movie.

Brave. Watched it recently and I love Merida. And doesn't everybody want to turn their parent into a bear, sometimes?

How To Train Your Dragon. I love Hiccup and his relationship with Toothless and his struggle to make his father proud of him.

The Princess and The Frog. I love Tiana. I love how she will do anything in pursuit of her dream and how she was so determined and patient and eventually got her dream. She's a great role model to all young girls out there: whatever happens, never give up on your dreams. Even when things seemed hopeless, she still didn't give up.

The Hobbit. Poor Kili... And Fili... and Thorin... (Bursts into tears). Also, the book is amazing. I could go on for ages about how much I adore Lord Of The Rings, especially the books, but I don't want to bore you. :D

Tomorrowland. This is one of those films that speaks to the heart. I loved this story, it was beautiful and inspirational, with an uplifting message.

Rooftoppers. A book by Katherine Rundell and one of my absolute favourites. It's such a... It's such a hopeful story, with a very important message "Never ignore a possible.".

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (book and movie). Just. Wow. Also, Florence does a song for the movie for it, so even better. It's a sometimes funny, sometimes scary, but altogether whimsical beautiful trip into a place that only exists in our dreams... hidden among us in the real world.

Lucifer. The Devil owns a club in L.A. and solves crimes with a detective by the name of Chloe Decker. I hardly think I need to elaborate.

Once Upon A Time. It's an original idea and a good cast, with characters that really make you feel for them

Pushing Daisies. It's a strange but fascinating blend of genres, with everything from murder mystery to sweet romance, with just enough of each to balance each other out... almost like pie flavours, the contrasts make it great.

Inheritance Series. An epic saga with in-depth characters, detailed landscapes and backstories, plus dragons. Good enough to become a classic.

Captain America (all three movies). It's a wonderful film series with so many layers to explore. Amongst all the other movies, with their aliens and magical artifacts, it's the grounding one... showing that sometimes the enemy is not some obvious alien trying to take over the world, but one who looks just like us... who might just be inside of us.

Hey, all you girls out there! Have you ever considered the excitement of fan-girling?
If you haven't, this would be the paper for you to read!
Fan-girling is when all the girls swoon over movies or books or television shows in the most inhuman way possible!
These are the advantages of being one of these alienated people!

1'1'1

Advantage number one: wearing comfortable clothes!
You throw on some pajamas or anything else you find cozy to curl up and read or watch television.
It's comfortable enough for you to settle and maneuverable enough for you to jump up and smack the TV or throw your book against the wall.
Wearing comfortable clothing no matter how ugly - even in public - is a great advantage of being a fan-girl!

2#2#2

Another privilege of the fan-girl: locking yourself in your room!
Locking yourself in your room with your fandom is a wonderful way of saying you're dedicated!
With your door locked, you can bawl and squeal all you want and no one can come in and stop you!
No annoying siblings or nosy parents ordering you around.
Just you and your favorite fandom!
Also, your room is the only safe place away from those weird human beings that try to make you eat greens and do chores.
They're not worthy of fan-girl-world!

3(3)3

A big diet?
Perfectly normal!
Fan-girls usually get hungry while obsessing and eat automatically most of the time.
The only problem is, though, whenever fan-girls get hungry, they'll have to leave their rooms to get to the snacks.
Fan-girls only have nightmares about the terrors outside their domains!
So they'll either have to keep a secret stash under their beds that will last them until the end of the world or pay their younger siblings to bring food to them.
The fan-girl diet is a wonderful thing indeed!

4*4*4

Let's not forget our fan-girly appearance!
Our faces are usually very red from how much we bawl and laugh and blush every time our nonexistent crush shows up in our books and movies and TV shows.
Don't despair, my fan-girl friends!
That flustered look is perfectly normal.
It means we care!
The red face is just a sign that we're concerned about what happens to our fictional family!

5"5"5

Another way you could tell we care is our smeared make-up.
Most fan-girls always put on make-up and fix their hair so they'll look presenting while watching or reading their fandom, but ninety nine percent of the time, something will either devastate or anger the fan-girls and result in them messing up their hair and crying, therefore smearing their make-up and sending their hair askew.
Smeared make-up is a reasonably expectable fan-girl fashion trend, as fan-girls always tend to smudge it once or twice every while.

6_6_6

No sleep?
Who cares!
The dark circles under your eyes are the fan-girl fashion sense that proves you haven't slept since you stumbled upon a certain book/movie/TV show that has kept you up from last month to this day.
Sleeping is something sane people do, and goodness knows fan-girls are not sane!
Fan-girls are the special type of girls that can go months without sleeping as long as they've got a book or movie or TV show to obsess over.
Especially if it's got a handsome guy to drool over!

7.:.7.:.7

What else is fantastical about being a fan-girl?
Fan-girls always, always, have something to hug.
When the fandom gets upsetting, terrifying, intense, or disconsolate, fan-girls need something or other to squeeze the life out of until the emotions pass.
The choices of comfort objects range from teddy bears to posters to pillows to pet cats, but never human beings because they don't even go near those strange things.
The comfort objects invariably turn out to be a fan-girl's best friend because they're habitually everywhere the fan-girl is.

8[8]8

Lastly; talking to yourself!
All sane people talk to themselves a few times, yes, but fan-girls get to do it all the time!
When they're alone and there's no one around, they'll talk aloud to their imaginary friends, having oddly long conversations with no one.
Now, doesn't that sound exciting?
Being a fan-girl, you could do it in public and never be ashamed.
Some fan-girls even talk to themselves while in front of someone else.
There are many ways to do so; some even do it in third person!

9-9-9

Becoming a fan-girl is the most enjoyable thing any girl could ever want.
It's a stay at home job that can be done with no need of any school degrees or monthly payments.
There is no age limit either! Join your fandom now, girls, and find joy in the mentally unbalanced world of the psychotic fan-girl!

"A lot of people think they know what a book is. But in reality not that many do. You see a book is not something you do when you're bored; it's not something you were forced to read for a stupid school report. No, a book is something more than that. A book is something that can make you cry for hours for someone who's not even real (no matter how much you want them to be). It's something that can make you laugh on your glummest day, at something that's not even relatively funny. It's something you scream at when something goes wrong and the idiot in the book won't listen to you (no matter how hard you scream). It's something that you get so lost in that you forget the date and where you are for a second. A book is something that's so addicting that even when you say, "This is the last page, and then I'll put it down," you turn the page anyway. It's your best friend through thick and thin, whether you're black or white, fat or skinny, young or old. A book is just that- a book; it's just that some people don't know what a book is, even though you've known your whole life." by xXIceshadowXx. If you agree with this and know what a book is copy and paste this on your profile. (xXIceshadowXx owns all rights to this quotexX)

If you have ever zoned out for more than five consecutive seconds...copy/paste this into profile.

If you have ever forgotten what you were going to say, right before you say it, copy this into your profile.

If you have inside jokes...with yourself...copy and paste this into your profile.

French class. The class where everyone goes to class hoping they don't have to conjugate French verbs. Post this on your profile if you hate French verbs.

If you have ever burned any sort of food in the microwave, oven, toaster, or on the stove, copy this into your profile.

Pyromaniac? Put this in your profile. (Fire is awesome. It can burn your house down, but it can also keep you warm).

If you have ever seen a movie (or show) so many times that you can quote it word for word. And you do at random moments; copy and paste this in your profile. (Used to be able to do that with Rise Of The Guardians. Thought I might put this on as remembrance for those days).

If you are crazy and proud of it copy and paste this onto your profile.

SPLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! If you are really random put this on your profile.

If you wish that a fictional character was real, copy and paste this to your profile.

If you're part of so many fandoms that you find references in practically everything, copy and paste this to your profile.

If you've been called crazy and took it as a compliment, copy and paste this into your profile.
