![]() Author has written 36 stories for Supernatural, Good Omens, Constantine, Captain America, Marvel, Teen Wolf, Harry Potter, Batman, Smallville, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Hellblazer. Significant portions of the Hunters & Hellblazers series are too hot for and are only available on AO3.
The H&H crossover series has 28 stories of which only 12 are on - there has been minimal interest in the series here and the FF site doesn't really support interconnected one-shots and shorts the way that AO3 does. This, combined with the adult content issues, means that I have decided to move H&H to AO3 only. The stories will continue but they won't be posted to FF unless it is a fully stand alone side story. I have combined most of the Constandean stories into the original Of Hunters and Hellblazers as chapters up to the ending of Confessing to the Endless Sin. I've posted them in chronological order instead of the recommended reading order because rewriting them to show the time shifts for casual readers would be a lot of work for so few readers - sorry guys. To read as intended head over to AO3. Here We Go Again/She drags my world awake will be completed but all future additions to the 'verse will only be available through other sites. Recommended Reading Order: Italics show stories that have been added as chapters to Of Hunters and Hellblazers here on (not necessarily in this order).
I'm pretty new to fan fiction. But I love it. As a community and as a genre. It is really special and I am using it as a way to improve my writing in a safe and interesting way. None of my fan fiction is for profit and none of my fan fic stories get recycled into published form. In fact fans of one may not even be fans of the other. I think fan fiction isn't the same style as original fiction. Because the reader already has an investment in the characters. You can also be far more economical in description and set up - you can jump right to the action. Because everyone has already agreed who we're talking about. And fan fic readers are happy to image the setting, build their own details and let their own 'head canons' rule. It is a really fascinating genre to explore. But at the same time these characters already exist. And they're not mine to bend or change. Keeping in character is the real challenge and is the one that is helping to improve my writing exponentially. I use fan fiction (as both reader and writer) to play with ideas and characters in ways I won't see in canon - due to the original medium, or the rights holders, or other practical concerns, and so on. That is why I write a lot of short crossover scenes. Because that is what I like to read. I also like time travel, AU, and parallel universe stories because, again, that is stuff that isn't really practical in most canons. Anyway, thanks for writing and reading, and taking this ride with me! |
