Call me Em! I'm a 22 year old female writer from Dallas.

I enjoy binge watching New Girl, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Friends. 97% of my sense of humor is derived from those shows in an awkward mass of sarcasm and irony. 2% comes from badly worded sentences on Tumblr, and the other 1% is organic? Maybe? Probably not tbh

Writing is my favorite thing to do but I also enjoy singing and playing the ukulele. I drink obscenely unhealthy amounts of Diet Coke and I completely botched the Italian class I once took. I'm studying to become a copywriter but I plan to moonlight as a famous movie star so watch out, Hollywood.

I wrote for a fairly popular show for quite some time but eventually I began to feel like I reached my full potential there and I wasn't really growing anymore. Switching over to writing for sitcoms has presented a whole new set of challenges and I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Favorite movies include The Breakfast Club, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Heat, Horrible Bosses, How to Train Your Dragon, Jeff Who Lives At Home, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Pulp Fiction, Safety Not Guaranteed, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Zombieland, and 50/50. I really, really like it when people send me messages but I'm such an awkward human being that I will probably agonize for a few hours over how to respond, feel like the opportunity to respond is lost, and then stare at it in my inbox for several months feeling like a complete idiot for never saying anything back.

I don't know what else to write here so I'm just gonna quit while I'm ahead!
