Author has written 6 stories for Murdoch Mysteries.

I'm new to publishing fanfic, but not new to writing it. Favourite shows include the first four Star Trek series, old school Doctor Who, Due South, early X-Files (I bailed when Duchovny did), Grey's Anatomy, and (way back when) The Greatest American Hero. (I was very young.) I live in Toronto and I spend far, far too much time thinking about Murdoch Mysteries.

The Crabtree Strain is my first published story. It takes place just after the first half of S12. The idea just came to me, and I spent at least three months researching, writing, researching, and writing more. Out of the Woods (formerly Out of Haileybury) went a lot more quickly, as I think I'd been working on it subconsciously ever since I saw 8x11 ("All that Glitters"). Last Night is just a quick vignette inspired by 11x13, "Crabtree à la Carte." Steady On is some missing scenes from 10x18 and 11x01, "Hell to Pay" and "Up from Ashes" (which I think is my favourite episode of the whole series). A Pearl of Great Price happened right after 13x17 because (warning: S13 spoiler) I couldn't stand waiting a week (or worse, six months) to see how George gets out of the Misery scenario.

Mysterious Tales of the Strange and Uncanny is in progress. It will be a whole series of interconnected stories with Crabtree at the centre, exploring how his beliefs in the supernatural play out when challenged in a variety of ways. It's going very slowly, because I may have bitten off more than I can chew, but if you like it, please let me know. Every little kick in the pants to keep it going is helpful. Your feedback is also very welcome because, as Romantic Nerd would say, I'm building the plane as I fly it.

My little family (partner and our early teen) helps me a lot with the writing process and many of the ideas in my stories are theirs.

I really appreciate the warmth of the welcome I've received from the MM fanfic community, and I'm so grateful for your feedback and support.

For the record: George Crabtree is a national treasure.

It was too loud to be 1899. Too loud and too bright. William fought to open his eyes only to slam them shut against the chemical burn of the strange, overly saturated lights coming from the ceiling. He groaned. There was no doubt: this was still 2012. AU, William x Modern!Jullia. Follows Episode Six of The Murdoch Effect.

Obligatory post-ep for "The Killing Dose". "'Julia'- He tried, but she shook her head. They had promised, once, after they lost the baby. They wouldn't come to this place again. They couldn't, because they would never recover." So, like, angst.
