Hello World!

I am Spirael, I live in the United Kingdom and you will predominantly find me writing fan-fiction for the franchise I have loved for many, many years; TMNT. Back in the tender days of the internet, I was writing TMNT fan-fiction then. Yes, back when the original cartoon series was still showing and the original live action films were playing. (Does that make me some kind of veteran?!)

Between then and now there was a dearth of new material until the 2003 series appeared. I watched it, but given that I was in the process of getting a degree, getting married and having children - I had no time or motivation to write.

Until now.

My eldest is of an age where we can sit and watch the cartoons together, and it has rekindled my love!

By day I have a full time career, by night I have a family to look after. But, in my free time (when I ever get any!), I love to write and draw. I have been working on my own original series aimed at a Teen/YA audience, but I don't feel that my writing quality is yet good enough to ever be published. Hence, I have ventured back into fan-fiction predominantly to practice and hone my abilities.

I appreciate all feedback and I am very grateful to anyone who makes the time to review my work. Thank you so much!

As you will appreciate from the above, I am very busy and don't get as much time to write as I would prefer. For ongoing stories, I will attempt to post at least one new chapter per week. I write ahead by several chapters to give me a cushion for if life gets busy one week and so I can link the chapters together with foreshadowing, but there is every chance that things might get manic and force me to skip a week. I apologise in advance for this.

So far I've written for the TMNT 2012 series, because that's what I'm currently watching and I'm entertained by the youthful exuberance of the characters. Future works may follow different timelines - I haven't decided yet!

As for my favourite character... Well, if my writing is good enough then you shouldn't be able to tell that I have one turtle I prefer and one that I find more difficult to write! By all means, take a guess. It will help me judge how well I'm doing. ;)
