My name is Esther, I live in the UK and I am a newly qualified nurse. I'm new to this whole thing but I have always been into writing. Previously I have written a few children's books (unpublished obviously) and have started and not finished many novels.

I am in love with all things medical and am currently watching Grey's Anatomy which was what brought me to this website. My favourite characters are Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt, they had such chemistry together onscreen. Cristina is ambitious, fierce, challenging and powerful but she is also delicate, whereas Owen is damaged, talented, kind and gentle. Together they filled each other's gaps and I just loved watching them together. I wasn't ready for their relationship to end so I carried on their story in my own way. There are so many other TV shows that I love such as E.R., The Walking Dead, Gilmore Girls, Brothers and Sisters, Parks and Recreation and many more.

I read like reading is oxygen and am currently reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. My favourite books, ooh this is really hard but my favourites have to include Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, Tell No One by Harlan Coben, Perfume by Patrick Suskind and everything Stephen King has ever written (especially The Shining and Under the Dome). It's really tough to narrow it down like that and now I feel bad for all of the books that I haven't mentioned, what a headcase.
