Author has written 1 story for Inuyasha.

About me:

Name: Lydia

Likes: Friends, sports, writing, reading, penguins, Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, watching movies, filming my own movies, birds, beautiful emo boys who kiss, anime, sleep, hearing my favorite songs on the radio, aliases, Kingdom Hearts, strange independent films, when friends visit me at work, bacon, vampires, strawberry-banana smoothies, drawing, my World Views class, dancing in my underwear, stripes, and 50 percent off sales.

Dislikes: Stupid people, school work, early mornings, failure, sore muscles, math, heart ache, writer's block, cats, working until close, itches, coughing, the SAT, stupid mistakes, feeling weak, scary movies, arrogant guys, laundry, insomnia, and confusing a dream with real life.

More about me: I'm absolutely intrigued by the Japanese culture. The thing that first turned me on to it was (obviously) anime. I am so glad that I have friends who love anime too. I've become rather addicted to anime and manga. I have the entire Yu Yu Hakusho and Fruits Basket collections on DVD, and a large supply of Inuyasha DVD's (not the mention the library of mangas sitting on my shelf). Anime is one of my greatest passions. Through it, I've become really interested in what traditional Japanese "life" is/was. It's my life dream to move to Japan for a year and travel all over to see the lifestyles and culture.

Weakness: Slash. Sorry to anyone who it offends, but seriously, I love slash.

My writing: One thing you must understand is that I am constantly changing how I write. So while you might love one chapter, I guarantee you that there will be another chapter I write that you'll abhor. It's the same the other way around. I lack this thing called consistency which makes it hard for me to keep a steady, unchanged flow of a writing style. The good news about this is, I change because I'm constantly getting better (at least I hope). This means that my stories will begin going in one direction and then totally switch gears and go in a different one because it makes it so much better if I do. Sometimes this is attributed to my reviews when people give me (detailed and helpful) opinions on what I've written. The reviewers are what keep me from getting in a boring rut. So review whenever you can even if you HATED what I wrote. I want to know why. And if you liked it, tell me WHY you liked it. Was it clever, was it interesting, was it well written, was it relatable? Tell me what you think! Most of the time, though, the story takes on a life of it's own and it's not longer going to let me write what I originally planned. The characters speak for themselves and force me to change my direction, thus changing the entire tone of the story sometimes. (No, I am not crazy.)

Another thing I'd like to say is that I write several different kind of fanfictions. I write drama, romance, comedy, angst, adventure, ect. So don't assume that I limit myself to just one or two categories. Just because I have very little up right now doesn't mean I won't have a variety later. However, you'll see that I mostly enjoy romance and comedy because I love poking fun at things, and I love sexual tension. There's something SO great about sexual tension in a story. Anything that I think I know, I write. I refuse to post something that not even I would like to read so even if it takes me months to finish it, I'm always proud of what I've done.

Lastly, I'd like to say that I am not a conventional writer. I like it when my fics are quirky, eccentric, and a little bit out of the ordinary. I hope it's refreshing to those who read it. I will never copy or redo someone else's fanfic idea. In fact, when I come up with an idea I go around Fanfiction and see if it's already been written. I want to be as original as possible but I try to work with ideas or themes that are universal or something very close to my heart. For example, Love is a Lie is about a woman opening up to love (something I've had to learn how to do). I think a lot of females are like Sango in this fanfiction and I want them to know that they don't have to be. Something that simple can be conveyed through a story, I think. I hope that I can take something mundane (but important) like that and make it something new and redone with twists that readers never expected. I want people to learn and be encouraged by my fics just as much as they are entertained by them.

(A passage from William Faulkner's Nobel Prize acceptance speech)

"... the young man or woman writing today has forgotten the problems of the human heart in conflict with itself which alone can make good writing because only that is worth writing about, worth the agony and the sweat. He must learn them again. He must teach himself that the basest of all things is to be afraid: and, teaching himself that, forget it forever, leaving no room in his workshop for anything but the old verities and truths of the heart, the universal truths lacking which any story is ephemeral and doomed--love and honor and pity and pride and compassion and sacrifice. Until he does so, he labors under a curse. He writes not of love but of lust, of defeats in which nobody loses anything of value, and victories without hope and worst of all, without pity or compassion. His griefs grieve on no universal bones, leaving no scars. He writes not of the heart but of the glands.

...I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance. The poet's, the writer's, duty is to write about these things. It is his privilege to help man endure by lifting his heart, by reminding him of the courage and honor and hope and pride and compassion and pity and sacrifice which have been the glory of his past. The poet's voice need not merely be the record of man, it can be one of the props, the pillars to help him endure and prevail. "

This is how I want to write. It's my duty and my goal as a writer.

My favorite anime/manga pairings:

Inuyasha: Sango/Miroku, Inuyasha/Kagome, Sesshomaru/Rin

Chobits: Chii/Hideki

Fruits Basket: Tohru/Kyo, Hatori/Kana

Howl's Moving Castle: Howl/Sophie

Yu Yu Hakusho: Yusuke/Keiko, Kurama/Hiei

Kingdom Hearts: Sora/Kairi

Hana-Kimi: Mizuki/Sano, Dr. Umeda/Any-hot-guy

ANNOUNCEMENT: Alright, everybody. the fact of the matter is that I'm just not very active in the fanfiction . net world anymore. I've slipped into more of the band fanfiction world of things. I'm sorry to anyone who this might disappoint, but I've been in the anime/Inuyasha fandom for almost 4 years. That's one of the longest runs I've ever had with anything in my life (which was of my own volition), so it's a bitter-sweet goodbye. But I'm moving on to different fandoms.

Chances are, I will not be finishing Love Is A Lie. I've been writing other works for so long that I honestly can't get myself back in that universe of LIAL. I'm so, so sorry to any of you who were following the story and might be disappointed that it is being discontinued. There's about a one in a million chance that I'll ever write for that fic again since I've been devoting myself to the Panic! at the Disco slash fandom, so while there is a chance, it's nothing I would count on if I were you. Thank you to everyone who was so supportive of me and the story. I really did appreciate all your kind words and loyalty.

So goodbye and good luck writing. Never stop writing.

Possession by Wheezambu reviews
Ch. 38 updated. When Inuyasha uses the jewel to become a full demon, it has a tragic outcome. This story touches painful subjects of love betrayed, survival, and redemption. This is a dark, sometimes bitter story for emotionally adult readers who understand that even the best people sometimes lose themselves and the pain of returning to those feelings. In short, it's a love story.
