![]() Author has written 28 stories for Thunderbirds. Well! It's 2017, probably it would be reasonable to update this profile a little bit. So hi, I'm Prelude. I have written quite a lot of stories for Thunderbirds are Go! Currently the bulk of my writing is tied up in my primary series, Heavenward, which totals out at 275k as published, will be two years old in May of 2017, and is due to be completed before then. Heavenward Heavenward is a story about John and EOS, an AUish sort of interpretation that jumps off of the end of S01E08 and runs with the episode's major themes. As a story, it's about a lot of things, a partial list of which includes: mosquitoes, chess, hurricanes, biohacking, hospitals, boardrooms, pretzels, game theory, minor kidnapping, day drinking, TV interviews, private planes, kale smoothies, opt-in PTSD, rather more major kidnapping, and then a whole bunch of other things once the actual plot gets started. There's a not inconsiderable amount of suffering on John's part, but on the whole it's a story about soulmates and family and growing up, and about changing the world or finding someone to change it for you, and about going to great lengths for a deeply held ideal. Honestly, it's probably one of the best things I've ever written, and if you've liked my work elsewhere, I think you'd like Heavenward too. Its component parts are as follows: john_tracys_eyes_are_not_green the_iterated_prisoners_dilemma with_all_hands_raised_against_me geocentricity_vs_celestial_navigation optimal_pathfinding_algorithms How I Work/When I Post ffnet - I post works to ffnet only once they've been completed and published in full elsewhere. I post to ffnet mostly for ongoing cross-exposure, usually on an update schedule of about once a day, or once every other day, depending on the length of the work. As an aside, please, please, I know you mean it as a compliment, but please don't ask/tell me to update soon. Please don't ask/tell me what you want to happen next in the work. I'm updating on a schedule. These aren't works in progress. My work isn't serialized, it only looks that way, and each piece as published actually exists whole, complete, and as I intend it. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but it kinda makes me feel real down, actually. Ao3 - Everything (well, almost everything) I post here exists in its completed form over on my Ao3 page, at archiveofourown . org /users/preludeinz. I use Ao3 like an archive, and it's the best place to find a completed repository of whatever works I've deemed fit to publish. Ao3 also contains gift works I've written for other authors, as well as works I've co-authored with friends, though there's a link at the bottom of this profile to a joint account on ffnet for the same. Tumblr - my tumblr has EVERYTHING, and updates with works as they're written. My tumblr contains all sorts of bits and pieces of nonsense, scraps and fragments and short stories, episode analyses, and meta about my major works, stuff that isn't finished and might never BE finished. Tumblr is my cutting room floor, but it's also the place where my work is always the most current, and where I'm easiest to get ahold of personally, if you ever wanna drop me a line to chat. As relates to the TAG! fandom, I am on tumblr as tb5-heavenward. Co-Authorship If you have a hankering for more of my work, I've also co-authored a lot of works with two other writers in the fandom, and our collective nonsense is (and will be) assembled over here: Nonsense Incorporated |
