Author has written 1 story for Mass Effect.

Hi guys! Wow, so it's been damn near two years since I was regularly active here. Any of you who know me from around then, I'd love to get in touch! As for the rest of you, you're more than likely here because of Instability. To that I'll just say that I'm now fully committed to finishing it, and even working on the successor. A lot has happened in the last two years, most of which even my close friends and family have a hard time believing, but things are starting to normalize again and I'll be here for the long haul, even if I can't commit to a regular schedule for updates on my stories. If you want to chat, drop me a message (I'm terrible at replying to these, however) or give me a shout on Twitter @almostadonovan. I'm much more likely to get in touch through that medium.

As for me personally, I'm a 23-year-old guy living near Saint Louis. The lovely land of Misery here in the States. I could go off and explain all my interests and hobbies, pet peeves and social disinclination, but you guys don't care about that, right? You care about what I write, so I'll talk about that instead.

Generally I write realistic takes on games that I absolutely enjoy. I want my readers to feel like they're actually in the game reality no matter how many times they've played it. Also I enjoy taking shitty storylines and finding something you guys enjoy. *COUGH* Instability *COUGH* Expect to see a lot of familiar met with a whole lot of new material and I might occasionally blow canon storylines to pieces. Because fuck canon. If it sucks.

For the most part the stuff I write is going to be rated M, mostly for language and occasionally for gruesome violence. Because we're talking about video games here. I don't write smut, period, and although there may be things implied in my stories it's handled very tastefully. Just a disclaimer. I don't recommend anyone under the age of 17 read my work for the simple fact that the F-bomb gets dropped quite a bit. But hey, where I'm from its normal to hear that from teenagers, so to each his own.

Honestly though, writing fanfics isn't my priority. Instability still holds a special place in my heart and I'm going to see this story through to the end even if it kills me, but for the most part what I write is largely original. I recently discovered that taking on too many projects at once was causing severe burnout, thus why it took me two years to pick up Instability again, so I'm now working on the final draft of a novel I wrote years ago, this fanfic, and a Fallout-based group roleplay I run with a good friend of mine. It's open to anyone and everyone, so if that's something you're interested in just hit me up.

Anyway, if you're taking the time to read this you must have some interest in me, so thanks! Check out my stories and drop a review, I always enjoy constructive criticism. Cheers!

Personal TOC:

Mass Effect: Instability

My flagship fanfic. Actually my only fanfic, since I've essentially dropped the others. As I said, I'm now very much devoted to seeing this project through as well as what I have planned once it's finished, so likely the only content you'll be seeing from me for quite some time will be this. It's actually crazy too, this thing is beyond novel-length and I'm still maybe halfway done, with plans to continue the story in a sequel. If you weren't a fan of ME3 and like seeing an honest to God insane take on the Reaper War, check it out. Despite being an SI, it seems to have struck a chord with a decent chunk of the community.

Has your sense of direction ever gotten you into trouble? Mine's so bad that it's capable of breaking the laws of physics. Once, I went for a walk in New Zealand in 2014, and ended up on Mindoir during a batarian raid in 2170. Where I met someone. Self-insert (SI), cover by Pretend Fiction.

Were you ever so disappointed in something that the laws of space and time literally fractured? Four years after dealing with Mass Effect 3's horrible ending, I found myself on a plane to Vancouver. All I wanted was to see a concert and enjoy the sights. What I got was a life I never expected would be mine. (SI)(AU)
