![]() Author has written 4 stories for Bones. Greetings, and thanks for stopping by. Although into my seventh decade, I am new to the world of on-line fan fiction. I have read my share of Jane Austen sequels in print, and am aware that certain publishing phenomena began as fan fiction, but I have only become interested in extending my acquaintance by my recent discovery of the TV series Bones (yes, I am very late to the party!). The intriguing thing to me about Bones, as a continuing story, is the gaps the writers leave in the narrative, gaps that beg to be filled. I have been enjoying the stories others have penned spelling out the thoughts, feelings and actions that are not voiced or shown on-screen, and, inspired by those, I have begun trying my hand at supplying some of the elements I feel to be missing. Language and literature were at the center of my work-life as a university lecturer, and reading and writing continue to be important parts of my life. I do not know how often I will be posting, but I can say that I enjoyed working on my first story, and offer it to those, like myself, who find Booth and Brennan endlessly fascinating. Reviews and comments welcome. First anniversary update: thank you to all who have read and commented on the three stories I finished during the last twelve months. To those of you who are sticking with me through my latest endeavor, thanks for your perseverance and patience. It has always been my ambition to write a novel, and it seems I now find myself doing just that! It's proving a real challenge (especially of late), so, if you're enjoying it, or if you have constructive criticism to offer, please leave feedback. It's enormously helpful and motivating. Cheers! |
