![]() Author has written 10 stories for Destiny, and Gundam Wing/AC. Update: I recently set up an account on p a t r e o n. I am set up there as JSMulligan. If you have enjoyed my stories, I would appreciate any support you feel like throwing my way. Supporters will receive previews of work in progress, the ability to occasionally vote on what might be coming up next, characters appearing in stories, and my eternal gratitude. Those at the highest level of support ($7) will get a short story written just for them. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy reading what I share to the site. A little about me: Name: Jeff From: Texas Hobbies: Writing, reading, acting, video games (X-Box One, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch) Favorite (Professional) Authors: Isaac Asimov, Allan Steele, John Scalzi I love science fiction and fantasy stories. I grew up on Spider-man comics and Star Trek shows and books (due in no small part to my dad being a huge Trekkie). Once in middle school and high school I started branching out more, finding all sorts of interesting stories in the library. Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy quickly became favorite and go-to books for me. I've read and re-read the first three books many times. Other books I would recommend include The Runelords series by David Farland (at least the first four, once it shifts to the next generation, the series loses its way, imho). The Old Man's War series from John Scalzi, the Coyote series by Allan Steele (The Days Between, one of the shorts in the first Coyote book is simply beautiful). I also really enjoyed The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. I have recently been getting into the worlds of Warhammer and reading some of the fiction there as well. If you like what you read, feel free to leave reviews. If you don't like it... I suppose you could tell me that too. Seriously though, I appreciate any feedback, so long as it is constructive. Also, I'm slightly obsessed with traffic stats. I have self published a book of poetry through Amazon titled The Things I Could Never Say. It is a deeply personal work that deals with feelings of depression and isolation. Most of it was written when I was 18 or 19 years old, with a few entries written more recently. The book itself is divided in three parts: The Shadow of Death holds most of the writings dealing with the depression, Through The Valley contains religious content (my faith being one of the things that pulled me through some dark times), and Of Other Things is a collection of, well, everything else. My Projects Destiny Dust to Dust and Memories is the latest in the series that began with A Not So Simple Patrol. Claney has settled in on the Farm and hings are going well for him and Zillah, but the good times don't last for long. When Celeste and the rest of Fireteam Painted Truth go missing on the Moon, the two of them attempt a rescue and have to face the phantoms of their past. In progress Tales We'll Tell is a collection of shorts. Random bits from the universe. They will either flesh out bits of my character's backstory, expand upon things mentioned in my other fiction, or just tell completely unrelated side bits that might deal with other Destiny characters or the Destiny universe. These will be written in random formats, given the needs of each story or whatever is inspiring me at the time. In progress. When the Sun Winds Down is a direct sequel to A Not so Simple Patrol. First person narrative from the perspective of Titan Claney Beamard as he leads his new fireteam on their first official mission. Runs parallel to the Destiny 2 main plot. Complete. Down the Dark Staircase was going to be my take on everything that lead up to Eris and her fireteam attempting to challenge Crota. It was going to be more than just the story of the raid or of the Great Disaster. I wanted to touch on things leading up to it including Rezzyl, Burning Lake, and everything else. Indefinite hiatus, possibly cancelled. A Not So Simple Patrol was my first full fiction. It follows my primary Destiny character through a series of events. It started as a one shot, but the next thing I would have written would have been a follow up, so I decided to just continue it as one story. It is written in first person perspective, giving the viewpoint of my Titan, Claney Beamard. Complete as of 4/4/2017! Gundam Wing I found a story I had started many years ago and decided to post it here for fun. I could continue if there is interest, though I'd have to find a way to familiarize myself with that world again. My friends and I used to build Gundam models, and made our own custom Gundams and had fairly elaborate backstories for them. The story I posted was me practicing telling a story with them. We had alternated between having our own Gundam universe and continuing the story of Gundam Wing. This story comes from the Gundam Wing version, in which many of our original characters work with the Preventers following the events of The Endless Waltz. |
