![]() Author has written 5 stories for Power Rangers, and NCIS: Los Angeles. It started when I found a Ninja Storm comic as a young kid back in '03. I had no idea where this little A5 comic had come from, but I read through it a good number of times and thought 'You know what? This is actually pretty decent!' With me reading it through so much, my mum obviously knew about it, and looked very pleased with herself when she called me into the living room one day and put on the Power Rangers show of the same name. That was the back-end of the Ninja Storm series, and from then I was hooked. Being the end of the series, it was over very quickly and I was very disappointed. But then Dino Thunder came along and blew my socks off. It was, and still is to this day, one of the best Power Ranger series there is. Obviously I had no idea at the time who 'Tommy/Dr. O' was, but I've got to say that it was obvious to me, as a young child, that this guy was a legend and I respected him. I got especially into the Dino Thunder series, even taking up karate, (even though in my first lesson I told the teacher about what my mother had said that 'screaming is bad and you shouldn't do it' when he told me to shout when I let out a kick, and needless to say I never went back!) The next Power Ranger series was SPD. Again, I watched it from start to finish, never missing an episode, and I think I've actually seen them all twice over during the course of the series, (repeats, etc.). However, it didn't grab me as much as Dino Thunder did, despite being a good season. I'll never get that. For some reason that made my interest in the whole series, not just SPD, flail a little towards the end. Mystic Force didn't help this, and I'm afraid to say I stopped watching Power Rangers after five or so episodes of that season. I managed to tune in for a couple of episodes of Operation Overdrive and the premiere of Jungle Fury, but I have to say that the interest had gone really. I like staying up late at the weekends. It's just something that I do. With nothing to watch at 2am I started flicking through the channels and found five episodes of Wild Force starting in about ten minutes time. I chuckled to myself and thought I'd put them on for nostalgia and childhood memories while I did a little schoolwork. However, it through me just how good the shows were. I had caught a couple of Wild Force episodes before during Dino Thunder/SPD, but couldn't remember them and they had been cast out of my mind. They were good, so good in fact that the TV got my full, undivided attention and no work was done! That's what got me back into Power Rangers this year, and from there I watched Dino Charge and caught up on Dino Super Charge. Both series are brilliant, put bluntly. Lost Galaxy, Ninja Storm, (well, I didn't see most of it), Dino Thunder, (again), and Jungle Fury are all series' that I watched and thoroughly enjoyed. And then there's RPM. Becoming a Power Rangers fan again meant that my YouTube recommended me a good few Power Ranger and Super Sentai videos. Coming home from sixth form one day I saw a video named 'Power Rangers RPM Episode 1 Part 1'. I clicked on it and watched it. I then watched part two. I then watched part three. Unfortunately those were the only parts on Youtube, but I needed to see more. The Mad Max style opening, darkness, and grittiness had intrigued me, and was something that was extremely unique to this series. I eventually found the whole season after an hour and watched it all over the course of two days. It is my favourite season. I wouldn't just stop at my own opinion, I would even go as far as to say that technically it can be classed as/is the best season of Power Rangers there is, and ever will be. If you haven't seen it, watch it. You don't need to be a Power Rangers fan to like it, especially since it's set in a different universe. If you're an action fan, you'll love it. If you're a adventure fan, you'll love it. If you're a fan of darker shows or dramas, you'll love it. If you're a fan of comedy, well my goodness you're going to love what it has to offer! *spoilers from here* My favourite story line and parts of the season though has to be the developing friendship between Ziggy and Doctor K, which becomes slight romance at the end of the series. It's beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time, the latter being apparent because of the backstory of Doctor K, and how she has never experienced much at all in her life before. Power Rangers and Powers Rangers RPM isn't the only thing/aren't the only things im deeply invested in. Primeval is a British tv show where creatures, (such as dinosaurs), can travel from the past and future into the present day through rips in time called anomalies. The show follows a rag-tag group as they battle to keep the world safe by containing the threat, returning the creatures to their own time, and stopping others hellbent on destroying the world. It was quite a ride, with a couple plot holes here and there, but was endearingly brilliant. I found the series through YouTube rather than the television. I stumbled upon a part of an episode on YouTube and was glued to the screen. I viewed the account that the video was uploaded by and was startled, amazed, and overjoyed to find three full seasons of Primeval right in-front of my eyes! It's fair to say that I didn't do much at all for the next few days apart from sit with my laptop on my lap powering through all the parts of all the episodes. And once finished I did it again. And again. I was utterly hooked. It broke my heart though to find out that the series had been cancelled. Back in late 2009, when I was becoming invested in this show, it was cancelled due to ITV's debt. The news had an impact on me, having just found one of my favourite ever things to only have it ripped from my grasp. There was somewhat of a happy ending though, as the show was recommissioned for two new series in 2011, but was then cancelled for good after that. I still remember having to videotape the episodes of the two new seasons and then sit in the living room the next day watching them back, being wowed by the awe and spectacle. One of the main highlights for me was the relationship between Connor and Abby. They were my first 'ship' and I still love their pairing to this day. Their journey throughout the seasons is one of awkwardness, friendship, comedy, and finally love, with the journey of their own feelings being just as enthralling. Connors pining over Abby was quite amusing in places as well! More recently, I have become invested in NCIS. Well, I say more recently, for the last couple years. For those of you who haven't heard of the biggest and most watched television programme in the world that has been running for 16 seasons - WHAT?! Put simply, it's an American police procedural following the a team from the Navy Criminal Investigative Service, (NCIS). They solve marine and navy based crimes, following the 'crime-a-week' programme/series layout. There are also a number of over-arching storylines following characters and threats. Introduced via my mother and grandmother, I quickly became interested and then invested in the show. For the first few months I was simply watching the repeats that aired on daytime and dinnertime tv, but with the help of catch-up services and dvds I eventually watched the episodes in order and now, bar maybe one of two episodes, I am fully up-to-date on 16 seasons worth of tv - fantastic, brilliant, stunning tv! It wasn't until about a year or so ago that I realised that NCIS actually had two spinoff shows - NCIS Los Angeles and NCIS New Orleans. I was mightily surprised that these two shows had slipped my attention and at first didn't actually get on with them. However, after recently re-watching episodes I am now also mightily invested in both the spin off shows, and am in fact currently in the middle of an NCIS Los Angeles binge-watch session. During my research of the spinoffs I came across Eric & Nell. For those of you who unfortunately don't know them, they are the the two technical operators in NCIS Los Angeles, providing the main team with invaluable support and information. Being such intelligent and technical people, they aren't well equipped socially to put it politely, so their often awkward courtship is a fantastically funny and brilliant part of the show. Their scenes together are often fascinating and heart warming, be it heart-warming funny, awkward, or satisfying. My love for Eric and Nell has ever increased and their ship is firmly sealed in my heart! I began writing Power Rangers RPM fan fiction back in 2016, when I had just finished watching the series for a second time and was utterly hooked. I can vividly remember coming home from college, skipping doing my homework and bingeing RPM all night, every night. It's fair to say that the decision wasn't too popular with my teachers, but I couldn't have cared less! But yes, after having watched the season through for a second time I began reading fan fiction simply because I desperately wanted more of Ziggy and Doctor K's relationship, and the inspiration I gained from reading through a stash of stories lead to write 'K!' - my first fan fiction story. For some reason or another that I can't entirely remember, I stopped writing fan fiction for over a year between 2017 and now, nearly the end of 2018. Again, I have no idea why and, while I had noticed the fact, I couldn't push myself to go back to writing the stories I loved. It's been a weird period of time where I've wanted and wished to write but just haven't and couldn't bring myself to. However, with another OTP that I am excited about, I am hoping that I can now once again push myself into writing fan fiction again. Apart from my English classes which ended a couple of years ago and a couple of small journalism pieces which were published in a local newspaper, I have no real experience in writing so don't expect much, and comments and suggestions in order to improve greatly welcomed! Thanks for reading this waffles, and have a lovely day - you're amazing! =\u/= My Stories; Power Rangers RPM; K! - My first uploaded story!
