Author has written 14 stories for My Hero Academia/僕のヒーローアカデミア, and Fairy Tail. Greetings! Welcome to my profile... it's probably rather empty, and I dunno how that's gonna really change, so I guess here's a few useless facts about me, followed up with some things maybe people want hear. Age: 21 Gender: Male Field of Study: Sport/Exercise Science -- Sports Orthopedic Surgeon Years of Study: In my third year Hobbies: I currently play for a Division I ice hockey team and dedicate a vast majority of my time to working out and practicing. Despite this, and my class schedule, I find the time to write usually whenever I am on the road. During shorter trips that involve a bus, it's far easier for me to write, but I'll write in the airport and on the plane as well. Aside from that, I strive to know as much about the world as I can, so aimless research is another one of my hobbies. Now, onto more relevant things: Favorite Anime/Manga(s): - Fairy Tail I really enjoy the plot, despite the obvious holes within. The fight scenes are usually well-orchastrated, and the characters do have some likeable tendencies. Despite the abundance of "nakama" power, or friendship armor, I honestly see logical reasons why some fights turn out the way they do. Overall, I think the fan-service could be turned down a bit, but it's a solid anime, and it was one of the first I watched, so it holds a special place to me.- Boku no Hero Academia The fact is, I actually just watched, and finished, the first season of Boku no Hero Academia, but I did that all in a single night, which is something I don't usually want to do. It was only the first 13 episodes, but I immediately could tell it was going to be one of my favorites for a long time. I recently read the entirety of the released manga, so I am a bit psyched for the upcoming arcs. Everything about this series, from its characters, to the plot, to the themes... it's very enjoyable, and somewhat refreshing. I love superpowers, and the idea of them, but to have some ordinary be so extraordinary is a great concept to me, and Deku's character is relatable to many people I'm sure.Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann I'll be honest, Gurren Lagann was another one of my original anime and I couldn't help but think Simon was pretty cool. He wasn't badass or anything in his first season, and I think the evolution he went through, mixed with the BS people treated him as, was a reason I really came to like him. I always kind of despised how people turned on him so fast, and called him useless, despite his age. But the anime had excellent themes about finding your own calling, and believing in yourself, and the people that believe in you. Cliched? Maybe. But nonetheless, awesome.Nanatsu no Taizai (Seven Deadly Sins) This was an anime that caught me by surprise. My friend showed me a clip of Meliodas fighting Ban, and I thought it was sick. So, I watched it, and sure enough, I thought it was awesome. Though I'm not the biggest fan of Elizabeth, she's grown on me at times, and I don't mind any of the characters. I enjoy all the Sins, and I think relation to real-world things is cool, so, I'll patiently await season 2.- Log Horizon This is a show that was undermined by Sword Art Online, due to their similar concepts. But, I think it has plenty that separates it, and much that makes it stand out more. For one, I do like Sword Art, but Log Horizon is just that much cooler. It's more political, with economic values thrown in. While I'd love to see Shiroe fight more, I do understand that the writers want to establish him more as a thoughtful character, and making him an OP fighter would take away from that.- High School DxD It's kind of hard to love this anime sometimes, with the obvious fact that you'll be judged for it. It's pretty raunchy, so it's understandable, but in all honesty, I think Issei's character is admirable once you ignore his perverted tendencies.Stories in progress: A Lifetime of Apologies: In-Progress Attraction of Small Things: In-Progress Confession: In-Progress Take Me Home: In-Progress |
