Carol wasn't expecting anything good to come of what she'd now termed, "The Worst Day of Her Life", yet here she is. It's an unexpected meeting that changes her life.

"You gotta have hope. If you don't, what are you really living for?" This is a short AU centering around Daryl, Carol, and their struggle as Daryl deals with the fact that it's unlikely he'll ever be able to give her the one thing he thinks that she wants and deserves most.

"5 years was a long time. It was a long time to spend so close to a gorgeous woman who he thought about sexually but had never touched. Daryl often wondered if Carol thought about him that way too. He felt very confident that she did, but she had this way of making you think one way in a certain moment and then making you question everything you believed about her the next."

I wasn't going to post this since it was just a little something I wrote to cheer up my best friend but the few that read it say I should share with the rest of you. So this is me, sharing away. A bit of fluff at the end. If you aren't into Caryl then move on!

This is a season two based "what if" story. What if Daryl brought Sophia back alive and well and what if the farm hadn't been overrun? Set sometime after the season three mid-season finale. Daryl and Carol need a place to be alone for some recreational activities but their plan is spoiled when they walk in on another couple who has beat them to it.

What if Ed survived and left Carol and Sophia after Merle unleashed the Walkers at their camp outside Atlanta? Now in Woodbury, he hears news of that same group bunkered down in a prison and decides it's time to forcibly take her back, or else. A multi-chapter Caryl story.

Set directly after 'Killer Within'. This is my take on what I think should happen when Daryl goes out on a manhunt for Carol. How does this change their relationship? Read to find out! Please notice the M rating.
