You hate me like you've always hated yourself.

Do not write for reviews. Do not demand reviews. Do not ask for "good" reviews. Do not put "no flames" signs within summaries. Trust me, your works are better off without such entries.

Reviews:

Please note that I do not review anonymously.

Praise: such reviews exclude criticism. I will only praise a story that is (seemingly) immaculate. Logical, is it not?

Critique: the vast majority of stories within fan fiction dot net has flaws. Constructive criticism, being the most helpful tool for a writer, is the main thing in my reviews.

Flames: I never flame, as flames do not help a story. Please do not confuse criticism with flames. A blunt review is not a flame contrary to popular belief.

Perhaps...a commentary on the subject from the community?

"If you spend more than five minutes writing a review critiquing a story regardless of how good or bad it is, you're not flaming." Gogehenks

"People often mistake real criticism for flaming because it's not necessarily nice and polite. Flaming is a bunch of abusive comments with no real point except to get the receiver angry." GTAJake

"Feedback is golden. I try to write for my audience, and not for myself. All comments, complaints, criticism, advice, and other words and thoughts from my readers help make the craft happen." Blue Dragon X

"It's best not to argue with a Critic Hater. They'll drag you down to their level of stupidity, and beat you with experience." James Critic.

"If you cannot take criticism you cannot call yourself a writer." Dr. Sipp

"If your enemy's review speaks the truth, tell people not to read it! That'll solve the problem!" Nail Strafer

“To avoid criticism do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.” Elbert Hubbard

"I am always amused by the silly vanity of those writers and artists of our day, who seem to imagine that the primary function of the critic is to chatter about their second-rate work." Oscar Wilde

"Only a mediocre writer is always at his best." W. Somerset Maugham

"A good novel tells us the truth about it's hero; but a bad novel tells us the truth about its author." G. K. Chesterton

"Nothing leads so straight to futility as literary ambitions without systematic knowledge." H.G. Wells

"Bad artists always admire each other's work. They call it being large-minded and free from prejudice." Oscar Wilde

Arguments: as Oscar Wilde said once: “It is only the intellectually lost who never argue.” It is always a pleasure to hear another's sensible product of deduction.

Reporting: yes, I do report stories. "Why," you ask? There is always a rational explanation that even the author, whose work got removed due to my actions, should understand upon contacting me. Hatred and complaints have never gotten a story back.

Time between the moments of sending and approval, concerning abuse reports is sufficient (over two weeks) for contacting a critic or improving by yourself.

If a story is removed from the site, it means that the administrator agreed with the reporting party. A story that is not interactive, is not scripted, is rated properly, represents fan fiction, is not a copy of somebody else's story, has little grammatical errors has no chance of being removed when reported. Only approval of a reported infraction causes removal of a literary work from this site.

The Alliance, a group of experienced authors, had managed to cut the Sonic the Hedgehog fiction section by half in the past. Their goal was to rid the site of low quality "works" with bad grammar, forbidden chat format and other direct rule violations. The fact that thousands of stories were removed only proves that most fictions are not suitable for this site by quality.

Abuse towards helpless language shall not be tolerated.
