Me?

I'm a bit of everything really. Writer. Actress. Singer. Trombonist.

Writing is my first love and it shall always be that way. I wrote my first fanfic when I was six years old. It was two pages of A4 long and was about Tom & Jerry. I think I still have it somewhere. I can remember how proud my parents were of me. When other kids' parents were showing off how good their little darlings were at football, my mum and dad would show off my ability to generate endless stories about Scooby Doo and put it down on paper. Yeah, so I've been a little geeky writer since I was really young.

I act. I've been on TV. It's a really embarassing 'reality TV' kids' show from when I was twelve. Now I'm into musical theatre (I've played Sandy in Grease) and Shakespeare (I'm currently rehearsing for a role as Lady Macbeth). My dad wanted to be an actor but couldn't make it, therefore thinks that I can't either. I'm going to prove him wrong somehow.

I like singing, but it's no longer my primary musical skill. I have a few karaoke videos on YouTube, check them out if you like (JazzBabeSupremeLyz). I love jazz, swing and big band music, which leads onto my instrument...

I've recently started learning the trombone. It's a really beautiful instrument and I apparently took to it naturally, but I don't know if that's true. I think my fast progress comes down to all the practicing I do! I'm in two of the school bands, the only trombonist we have. Our band is hoping to play at Disneyland Paris next year, so hopefully I will be quite competent by that time! I've also recently been offered a spot with a local big band but as it clashes with my Youth Theatre I'm torn...
