Author has written 4 stories for High School DxD/ハイスクールD×D, and Dark Souls. I'm a person who writes about whatever comes to mind, and I am more irritating than Excalibur from Soul Eater. That's all you need to know about me. I do not use Japanese pronouns or word orders in my stories. To me, it always looks jarring and out-of-place in English text, and English has more than sufficient ways to describe a character's feelings on another person without resorting to another language's words and structure. This is one of those "Not negotiable" things - either deal with it or don't read my stories. As an addendum, I reserve the right to rewrite my stories at any time. Nothing in these stories is sacred; it is all subject to change. I rewrite often, too. Most of the time it's fairly innocuous - maybe I dropped/misspelled words and didn't notice until after the thing went up, maybe I slightly rewrote a small bit of dialogue to something that flows that slight bit better. Major updates should be noted in Author's Notes. If you want to tell me that a story I wrote is utterly horrible, tear it to shreds point-by-point, that's fine. I'll admit it sure as hell isn't fun to have something you worked hard on criticized, let alone ripped to pieces, but if the critique is clear, I can try to learn from it. What I can't stand is lazily-written criticism. If you want to say "This story sucks", great, but you need to back it up with why. Just saying "It sucks" is not useful in any way, and I will ignore those reviews because they don't contain useful information. Why does the story suck? Are the characters out of line with canon? Is the plot clearly hinged on an idiotic decision that makes no sense in canon? Are the characters acting like utter morons and still getting their way? Did your favorite ship not happen? Seriously, it's fine to criticize, but it's not fine to be lazy about critique. Unless the story is My Immortal or something, where the problem is self-evident to anyone with any grasp of the language it's written in and who isn't completely insane. Then you can be lazy. One other thing: Don't pester me about "When is the next chapter of X going to be out?" I find it annoying and it lowers my motivation. |
