A Bit More...

I've been off and on Fanfiction for most of my teenage years as a reader. Once I hit my 20's I petered off and just didn't have time or desire to read fanfictions. So to say the least it's been a while ; Fanfiction.net has been a great place to come and relax and enjoy my fandoms. I've found many great authors and stories that have moved me or entertained me over the years.

Now i'm back in a different capacity. After much coaxing from my friends and online acquaintances, i've chosen to publish my fan fictions for all to read. My only rule, and it's a rule I feel should go to all members on any artistic site. Be respectful of my views or choices of content. I may write about things that are controversial, I may write it...doesn't mean I condone it...it's just for furthering the storyline ;)

Facts: Married to Byakuya Kuchiki, Mother of one son; Ume(see Below), Older sister of Renji Abarai

Bios/Story: Rinka Abarai is the older sister to Renji Abarai, she is a lot like him in many ways but at the same time vastly different. Where Renji is brash and cocky, Rinka is more calculative and sees the bigger picture. Her cool under pressure personality helps her manage her free clinic in Rukongai. Renji was separated from Rinka as a young boy and thus didn't remember her until they were re-united during Renji's time at the Academy after Rukia left. Rinka, being significantly older than Renji often treats him more like a child than a sibling. Due to both Renji and Rinka's upbringing she's notoriously wary of nobles and doesn't trust them until she becomes involved with Kuchiki Byakuya during a night of passion that resulted in the conception of their son Ume. Once Ume came into the picture she came to see a different side of noble life...both good and the bad but fell in love with Byakuya's compassion and strength of character that keeps pulling her back to him where she eventually settles in well to Kuchiki life and easily makes a place for herself at the head of the family along with her husband.

Facts: Son of Kuchiki Byakuya and Rinka Abarai, Nephew of Renji Abarai and Rukia Kuchiki, Grandson of Lord/Duke Renzo Abarai.

Bios/Story: Ume Kuchiki, the unplanned heir of the Kuchiki clan. Born from a night of passion between Rinka and Byakuya, is the apple of his father's eye and the pride of his mother as he was the only child she was able to produce, and the only son of Byakuya. He was born with an unfortunate disability of weak wrists, keeping him from entering the Gotei 13 and following in his father's and Uncle's footsteps. He struggles to find a place he belongs, both in his close and extended family as well as in the Gotei 13 society. Because of his noble features, gentle eyes, light frame, and quiet personality he's often misidentified as a woman which is a source of aggravation. His features often cause unrest in himself as most nobles want strong, masculine heirs for their daughters and he is the exact opposite of that, leaving him feeling inadequate, both as an heir, and as a man. Despite his personal misgivings he is a man of strong character and sharp intellect. To distract himself he focuses hard on becoming the future head of the Kuchiki clan. Because of his illegitimate birth clan elders tend to brush him aside as a future head, even with the constant odds against him he always finds a way to blossom. Due to his frailties he has a guardian who sees over him in case of an attack, being the only heir of the Kuchiki clan he's constantly in the spotlight and topic of conversation among other nobles, placing him in danger of assassinations. When he discovers his guardian is a woman their relationship becomes something more than servant and lord.

Description: Medium-toned to light tanned skin. Raspberry colored red hair that he keeps down or tied back of medium length. He has bright, intelligent eyes that glint with mischeif and pride. His eyes are Hazel and shift between green and brown depending on his mood. He stands tall, strong and broad giving him a confident and cocky appearance, when enraged he becomes intimidating.

Facts: Gentle and compassionate. Loves his children. Treats Byakuya as his own. Very fatherly and caring. Father of 3 children, Ume, Sakura(Minor OC), & Niji(Minor OC)

Bios/Story: DukeRenzo works as an adviser to the king, Byakuya's father. Renzo was raised in another country until he was forced to leave his family and country with his two young children and forced to raise them on his own before the birth of his third child Niji. Renzo has an unfortunate weakness for women, especially women who crave affection. He's a gentle man who constantly seeks that which he doesn't have. a stable family. Through his constant strife and ridicule he never loses his smile and bright personality. Through an unfortunate twist of fate Renzo takes the young Byakuya on as if he were his own and constantly picks him up when he is struggling when his own father fails to tend to him. He takes pride in his children and their accomplishments and is there to pick them up when they make mistakes. In his eyes, his children are never alone, and can do no wrong.

Description: Fair skinned with no tattoos. Rentarou has large violet eyes and black hair like his mother pulled back in a samurai-esque ponytail. He stands slightly shorter than his father and of medium build. Not as broad as his father, but still masculine in every way with a cocky smirk.

Facts: Son of Renji and Rukia Abarai. Nephew of Byakuya and Rinka Kuchiki. Constantly misidentified as a Kuchiki thanks to his black hair and violet eyes. Cocky, intelligent, and mischievous to a fault. Takes great pride in his job as a teacher at the academy.

Bios/Story: Rentarou, first born son of Rukia and Renji Abarai, tends to be a partially equal blend of both of his parents. He is strong, highly intelligent, and tall. He's constantly misidentified as a Kuchiki thanks to his fair skin, violet eyes, and black silky hair. "Taro" is somewhat the black sheep of the family due to his quieter nature and desire to learn versus fight. Unless it's a verbal debate. He exudes confidence almost to a fault and frequently gets him in trouble with women since he often corrects them when they are wrong. He takes great pride in his job as a teacher of battle tactics and physics in the Academy and has a soft spot for kids as he is a giant boy himself. He is his father's heir on top of his duties of the academy.

Sequel to My Dark Prince
Ume's Choice. Young Ume Kuchiki, raised as the only heir to the Kuchiki name, and sole heir to the throne struggles with his own sexual orientation. As heir to the throne he must produce an heir. But his heart lies not with a woman, but with a man. He struggles with who he can confide his orientation with, and who he can not. It all comes to a head when his grandfather, who never accepted him to begin with discovers his true feelings and the battle between both sides of his family. His grandfather's disgust, and his father's loyalty to protect his son and his son's choices. Synopsis is a Work in Progress.

Blossoms In The Snow Part 1. Ren Tsuruga is a blue blooded lord with power, influence, experience, and patience. Shotaro is a young, brash lord who came to power quickly and thus has no patience or respect for his clan. There is bad blood between the Tsuruga & Fuwa clans due to power conflicts. The Tsurugas want the Fuwas to back off with their desires of conquest until their lord can maintain his house better, while the Fuwas think that the Tsurugas are stuck up, blue bloods who only care about lineage and wealth.

Mogami Kyoko is a young, beautiful heiress to a thriving clan until her parents die tragically, leaving her with a large territory. In her father's will, she is bequeathed to the Fuwas as the young lord's bride to be. With one stipulation that only Kyoko knows. The man who earns her hand inherits all she possesses. Her land, her manor, everything. Though she is betrothed it is still her right to refuse if she sees young Lord Fuwa unfit.

After her parent's passing she is sent to the Fuwas to share her father's wishes. The young lord accepts her as his bride to be, unaware that it is up to her, ultimately, who gets her inheritance. Young Lord Fuwa assumes as her husband to be, he gets everything and swiftly loses interest in her as a wife. Kyoko learns of his womanizing and leaves the manor under the cover of night. She loses her way and ends up in a very dangerous situation. She falls into Vie Ghoul territory. The Vie Ghouls are a band of mercenaries led by a particularly dangerous man known only as Reino. The Vie Ghouls normally operate as hired thugs and hitmen. Reino instantly recognizes her as the heiress betrothed to the new Lord of the Fuwa clan and sees an opportunity to take down the clan he has come to despise.

When the Fuwas learn of Kyoko's capture Shotaro immediately wants to get her back. The Fuwas and the Vie Ghouls have had several battles over his rights to the clan and the way he runs it. Reino was exiled from the clan when Shotaro came to power. Reino was a Vassal to the Fuwa clan until Shotaro became Lord, when he did he did not like Reino's constant testing of his powers and authority as Reino was one of the candidates to succeed the Fuwa clan. Reino sees Kyoko as a way for him to get back what he lost. Only Shotaro knows just how ruthless Reino can be. Though Shotaro is not interested in Kyoko as a wife, in the short time she was with him he came to respect her in ways he had not realized until she had been taken.

During her imprisonment, Reino had originally planned to use Kyoko as extortion to reclaim his place in the clan. But as time passes he loses sight of his ultimate goals of destroying the Fuwa's pride and focuses on keeping Kyoko for himself. Reino is enamoured by her strong will and smart mouth and her determination to never give up. To get her back, Lord Shotaro approaches the Tsurugas for help. At first they decline until Lord Tsuruga Ren hears who has been taken. Lord Tsuruga, unbeknownst to Lord Fuwa, has ties to Kyoko from childhood and would do anything to save his childhood friend from imminent danger. He later approaches the Fuwas with a plan to rescue Kyoko. They come to an agreement to split their resources in search of the Vie Ghoul's hideout, which constantly changes location, it's made even more erratic with Reino's newfound interest in Kyoko and her inheritance, he'll do anything to keep her away from both the Fuwas, and the Tsurugas.

After a year and a half of searching the Tsuruga's find the Vie Ghoul's hideout, Lord Tsuruga devises a plan to storm the hideout, ambush style, throwing the mercenaries into chaos and disarray long enough for Lord Tsuruga to locate Kyoko and escape through the mountains to his manor. By time the Tsurugas retreat Reino discovers that Kyoko has been recovered, costing him his bargaining chip. And with the new snow falling, travel is at a stand still, leaving Kyoko in the protective custody of Lord Tsuruga until spring when she can be returned to the Fuwas.

Blossoms In The Snow Part 2. Kyoko has been rescued by Lord Tsugura Ren. Lord Tsugura races through the steep mountain passes on his horse to get as much distance between them and the Vie Ghouls territory. Once they are safely out of Vie Ghoul Territory they calmly make their way to his manor. Once they arrive at the Tsugura clan Kyoko is quickly ushered inside by servants and cleaned up. She's given her own private quarters deep within the safety of the manor. After she's bathed dressed, and shown to her quarters, Lord Tsugura pays her a visit and explains the whole situation to her. About how the Fuwas requested their aid and how they looked for her.

She learns that her quarters are connected to his so if she needs anything all she has to do is knock on the adjoining door. He swears on his honor as a lord that he'll never come calling on her as she is spoken for. This puts Kyoko at ease for a while until she starts developing deeper feelings for the man she lives with. She attempts to keep her distance, under the impression that he is also spoken for, as she often sees him conversing with one woman in particular. A young woman with black hair who is always by his side at banquets and gatherings.

Tension rises between her and Lord Tsugura whenever he shows his relaxed side, the side she knew of him as when they were small children. She finally becomes enraged when he slips up and calls her Mogami, the name she only let close friends call her. Lord Tsugura watches in calm disbelief as she yells at him. As her anger rises her words cut deeper and she accuses him, and all lords of being womanizers. Kyoko turns to run back to her quarters when Lord Tsugura takes hold of her and demands to know why she would say such blatant lies.

She explains what happened between her and Lord Fuwa, and how Reino had treated her in his hideout. He pulls her through a nearby door into an empty tea room. She demands for him to let her go until he pulls her into his arms. He explains he'll only let her go if she is willing to listen to what he has to say. When she agrees he loosens his grip and sits down at the table. She, being a woman of her word, sits across from him and listens to what he has to say. He explains to her that Kanae is nothing more than a retainer, she is the daughter of a samurai and is working for him in the clan as a retainer, she's disguised as a lady to fool anyone who would attempt to take his life.

After listening to his explanation she excuses herself and spends the rest of the day in her quarters. She even declines his invitation to dinner. As she lays in her bed feeling ashamed of what she had done, she hears Lord Tsugura announce himself before entering her quarters. She swiftly dries her tears and pretends that everything is fine when he brings her tea and a late night meal. He explains that no one under his care is to ever go to bed without dinner and he sets the food and tea on her table as he sits down. When she realizes he's not leaving until she eats, she concedes and joins him. As she eats he sat in silence, drinking his tea. During her meal she apologizes for her actions earlier in hopes of smoothing over any tension that may be left between them. She feels reassured when he smiles at her. He explains she did nothing wrong and in the same breath tells her not to make childish, unbased accusations again. In the privacy of her quarters he tells her that there is only one woman in his life he's ever had feelings for, and she's sitting across from him.

After his confession he rises from his seat to leave. As he passes her by, he stops and pulls her to her feet, he pulls her into an embrace and plants a kiss on her cheek before loosening his grip to leave. In surprise she finds herself asking him not to go. He smiles at her with a soft expression and explains it would not be proper for him to spend any more time with another man's woman. When he shut the door behind him she mustered up all the courage she had and entered his quarters. Once she was in she lost her confidence and started to stammer. Lord Tsugura demands she go back to her quarters as she has no place being in his unaccompanied.

She finally blurts out that she is no long betrothed to Lord Fuwa, that she left on her own accord the night she dissappeared. Breaking their engagement, he was just unaware of the development due to her losing her way and ending up in Vie Ghoul territory. She exclaims that she no longer wants to align with the Fuwas. Her only desire now is to be with Lord Tsugura. He turns away from her and climbs into his bed stating she can stay as long as she wants. Unsure exactly what he meant she just stares at him laying in his futon. He sighs and pulls the corner of the coverings over, inviting her in. Once she's in the futon with him he turns his back to her out of respect. She remembers that he stated he would never come calling for her. She carefully places herself against his back and places her arm around his waist. When he doesn't react she relaxes into him, taking in his warmth which fought of the chilly winter night.

As time passes she finds herself spending more and more nights in his bed and out of hers until one night when she joins him he turns to face her. Without a word he places a hand behind her and pulls her in close to him. She is unsure of what to do when he asks her if she is willing to take him as her lover. When she doesn't decline he surprises her with a refreshingly sensual kiss as a sign of his intentions. She gives in to the moment and allows him to take her.

Gossip spreads fast through the Tsugura clan that Lord Tsugura has taken Lord Fuwa's bride to his own bed. Causing turmoil to erupt through the manor and straining all relationships he has worked hard to develop and cultivate. The guilt of their actions drives Kyoko into a deep depression, unsure of how to convey to everyone the truth about their relationship. Matters only get worse when Lord Fuwa catches wind of her infidelity. Placing the Tsuguras and the Fuwas at odds with each other again.

Kyoko knows only she can end the fighting but she was unsure how to do it. Kanae is the only person in the manor who will even look at her, aside from Lord Tsugura's vassals whose visits are infrequent at best. Kanae eventually tires of her indecisiveness and informs her to do somethng before the Fuwas and Tsuguras go to war. And that she's the only one who can stop this mess. As she frets and Fusses over what to do. During late winter, the dreaded news arrives, that as soon as the snow melts, the Fuewas would come to take back what was promised.

And as promised. They come to collect Kyoko when the snow melts. Kyoko tells lord Tsugura, to avoid unnecessary war, she's willing to go back with the Fuwas until she can straighten everything out. She leaves Lord Tsugura with a promise that she will return. Lord Tsugura agrees under the condition that she take two of his vassals to keep an eye on her, to ensure that Lord Fuwa doesn't do anything unbecoming of a Lord. He sends his best, and most trusted vassals, Yashiro and Takarada as her retainers

Though she tries to clear the air between the Fuwas and the Tsuguras, tensions just get worse. Lord Fuwa, angered by Kyoko's infidelity exclaims that he is still willing to take her back as his wife if she would join him in his chambers. Kyoko declines his offer which infuriates the young lord even more. He verbally brutalizes her, and her honor as a Lady, exclaiming that she has already shamed her family by her actions with Lord Tsugura. Her retainers swiftly usher her away from the angry Lord before he does anything harmful. They do their best to remind her of the truths they know of her, but it does nothing to ease her pain. After several weeks in the tense environment she recalls her father's will, she feels silly when she realizes she's had the power all along to put their bickering to an end.

She's finally given no choice but to reveal the rest of her father's will. the part that states only she decides who gets her hand, and ultimately, her inheritance. When she shows the two Lords her father's will and testament, they stop their squabbling and wait for her to make her decision. She informs them of her decision to take time to decide. Lord Fuwa has no choice but to concede as he does not have the power, resources or influence to fight her decision, with the Tsuguras there to back her up. He releases her from their engagement and concedes defeat, Waiting for her decision.

Tensions rise even more whene they hear word that Reino is out to vie for her hand as well. He had learned about her inheritance, but what he really wanted was Kyoko Kyoko was becoming more and more stressed by the added tensions of making this decision. She chose to stay at the Tsuguras while she made her decision. Lord Tsugura and his Vassals tried to help her with her decision.

Lord Tsugura's vassals pleaded for their Lord to separate himself from Kyoko while she makes her decision. Lord Tsugura out of his desire for Kyoko refused their pleading After one of their nights of passion he holds her close. He exclaims that he will not give her up easily. He professes his feelings to her as he held her close. She held him as tightly as he held her. In that moment, she realized what she really wanted. She tells Lord Tsugura that she would only accept him. In their moment, Lord

Tsugura takes her again more passionately than anytime previously. In the morning, They both inform the clan that they were going to marry, within days they secure their relationship with a quick ceremony in secret

In the following week she made her decision known to all suitors By informing their vassals who visited the Tsugura manor. Neither the Fuwas or Reino could fight her decision, as Lord Tsugura's wife, he had claimed her inheritance. Lord Fuwa only left Lord Tsugura with one warning, that if he ever slipped up, he'd come to collect again. And Reino as well made his intentions known that her marriage wouldn't stop him from trying. Lord Tsugura just scoffed at their childish threats, knowing what he had earned.

Noble Love. Asch & Luke, born heirs to the throne of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, could not be more polar opposites. Asch, the first born and rightful heir. Born with all the wit, presence, and command to be a future King. Expected to take his father’s seat when the time came for him to ascend. Always ready, always prepared for any situation. Calm under pressure, the ideal Prince. While his half brother Luke on the other hand, lacks ambition and drive for his birthright. Unlike his brother, he’s quiet and reserved but pushed he is a hot head, he lets his emotions run his thoughts and doesn’t take into consideration the consequences of his actions.

Luke lives his life as a prisoner in his own estate. Never allowed to leave the manor, until his eighteenth birthday, at which time he’ll be considered an adult and can do as he pleases. His father granted him title of Duke to give him something to do with his free time, but a cage is still a cage to him and he struggles with the emotional stress of constantly being fretted over, all due to an incident in his past when he was kidnapped for ransom.

Asch had given up his birthright as Prince and became General of his father’s army. Due to his tactical knowledge and keen leadership skills, plus his burgundy colored hair, he has been given the name Asch “The Bloody”. Along with his bad attitude towards his brother’s lack of ambition he carries a heavy burden, always cleaning up after his brothers messes and hiding his own secret past has caused him to shut himself off to everyone, all but one person. His ex-fiancee Natalia.

Luke and Asch struggle with each other and their parents all while trying to overcome their pasts and forge new lives for themselves. All while trying to balance title, family, love and loss as they go through life.
