Hi! I'm IndusLotus2001. I was born in Texas, but my origins are Indian, which is partly where my profile name comes from. My dad suggested the Indus Lotus part when I was creating this account, and the 2001 part comes from my favorite show at the time, Full House (the American show, not the Korean drama).

My profile picture/avatar is a picture from my favorite movie, The Princess and the Marine, starring Mark-Paul Gosselaar as US Marine Jason Johnson and Marisol Nichols as Bharanian princess Meriam Al Kalifa. It was a made for TV movie about Jason Johnson and a few fellow marines who went to Bharian for duty for a year. While there, he met 17-year-old Meriam, part of the Bharanian royal family. They fell in love and escaped to America together. Once there, Jason was stripped of all his honors and was demoted to Private, the lowest rank of the Marines. Meriam was granted temporary asylum by claiming return to her country could result in harm inflicted upon her by her family. She attended a hearing and was allowed to stay in America with Jason, to whom she was married to at that point. This was a true story, and it really inspired me. It was beautiful story, until I read up on it and found out a day after their fifth wedding anniversary, Jason and Meriam, after doing so many illegal things for their love, got divorced. This makes me question if love really exists, but it is still my favorite movie.

I currently live in New Jersey and am in my second year of college (and maintained an unhealthy addiction to both reading and writing fanfiction for almost eight years, lol). I am a Communication Arts major with a concentration in writing and a math minor, but I am hoping to switch to a psychology major and double minor in creative writing and math.

I live on campus and love it, but I come home every weekend to work since I've had no luck finding any on-campus jobs and don't own a car (my best friend goes home to work too so he gives me a ride since we live in the same town). I work at a restaurant as a hostess and server and the majority of our guests come in to watch sports which is good since I love watching sports.

I play soccer and tennis but I'm not coordinated enough to play anything else (or get serious about tennis when I had the chance). I love soccer, but I was never good enough to have the chance to get serious like I was with tennis.

I also tutor middle school and high school kids in math, French, and English. One of those kids is my younger brother, who is my only sibling, and my first priority.

My brother and I were born in America, but my parents were born in India, so they raised as Hindus. As I got older, I started to question the existance of God. The first time I questioned this was when I was 6. When I was 12, I decided I wasn't sure if I believed in got. When I was 14, I learned there was a name for people who questioned God's existance: Agnostic. At 15 however, I decided I didn't believe in God at all, and to the great chagrin of my mother, I identify as an atheist. I don't judge people and I don't like confrontation, but if anyone has a problem with that, then you are a very close minded.

That being said (the fact I'm atheist), I don't hate religion, nor do I dismiss anyone else's beliefs. I will debate about it if people wish to do so, but I do not directly shoot anyone down. People should believe what they want, and if God is what they believe in, that's fine. I should also be allowed to believe what I want, including the belief that God doesn't exist.

Again, I don't hate religion, I just don't like everything it stands for, like the fact that the Bible says it's a sin for a man to lay in bed with another man. One of my best friends is gay and my roommate is lesbian, and I love them both. I'm not going to pretend to understand the strife of people who faced racism (because even though I'm a person of color, besides when I was 6, I never faced racist comments) or the strife of people who dealt with homophobic people (because I'm heterosexual), but I'm an ally, and I do not stand for any comments that can be counted as bullying.

I also want to say, I'm literally OBSESSED with Christmas. It's my favorite holiday. I celebrate with my very best friend and his family every year, and even though I am not religious, I still love the holiday. I love Thanksgiving because after Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season (also, I love Thanksgiving because I love food lol), and I love how everyone is so happy and trying to spread Christmas cheer and there's holiday music on all the time. It makes me feel so happy, practically giddy and puts me a good mood for the entire month of December. On the other hand, I am pretty depressed every year after Christmas is over, but I try to cheer up because I know it'll come again.

I spend all my spare time watching youtube videos, experiencing new music (I'll listen to anything, even country and classical, even though, generally, alternative rock and pop punk are my favorite genres), catching up on TV shoes (I also have an unhealthy addiction to TV dramas and Netflix), and writing whether it be fanfiction or a novel I hope to one day publish as a book.

I love editing people's work because I am a stickler for grammar and spelling and know exactly how phrase things perfectly. I am a Beta for several of my fanfiction friends, and also edit people's original work. I am not as good at editing my own work, so I'm looking for a Beta. I'm currently writing a Battle Royale, which has been my favorite book since I first read it in sophomore year of high school.

I love to read, write, and listen to music, but I am never happier than when I am hanging out with my friends.

I have a youtube account, but I'm not going to post the link on here because I never upload anything; I mainly made an account several years ago to make playlists of my favorite music before I had an iPod, and now I maintain it to subscribe to my favorite youtubers. My current favorites are Ryan Higa (nigahiga), Kevin Jumba (kevjumba), Troye Sivan, Tyler Oakley, Hannah Hart, Maimre Hart, Jenna Marbles, Zoe Sugg (Zoella), Joe Sugg, Marcus Butler, Casper Lee, Connor Franta, Dan Howell (Danisnotonfire), Finn and Jack Harries, Grace Helbig, and Megan and Liz. Megan and Liz are singers, but the rest make funny videos, except for Troye Sivan, who makes funny videos and sings a little. I'll watch any video with Grace in it, she's my favorite youtuber and has been since I first discovered her. My best friend and I are going to Playlist Live this November, hoping to meet some of our favorite youtubers. So far, Tyler and Troye said it's very possible they'll be there.

I also like Big Time Rush. I'm not a boy band kind of girl, but they're all pretty cute and they do have catchy songs. They didn't make it on the list because they are too mainstream pop for me, much like another one of my favorite artists, Katy Perry, and like I said, I like everything, but I'm mainly into alternative runk and pop punk.

I also like One Direction's music. I'm sort of embarrassed, but they do have good music, and when all is said and done, despite everything, Harry Styles actually has a really good, powerful voice.

I also love the voices of some Glee stars, though the show has gotten really bad. Apart from the obvious (Lea Michele), I also love the voices of Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer, Darren Cris, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, and Becca Tobin. I hope some of them release albums past the Glee soundtracks like Lea did.

I love K-pop too, my favorite groups being U-Kiss, MBLAQ, and Super Junior. 0330 by U-Kiss will forever be my favorite K-pop song, which I heard in my junior year of high school.

I'm not really much of a movie person in that, I watch a lot of movies and love them but will most likely never put them in a 'favorite movies' list. I usually don't like movie adaptations of books, except the ones in the list above (LOTR is one example, probably the only example, of where the movie was better than the book, and I HATED the Twilight series, but Breaking Dawn Part 2 was a good movie; so was Cathing Fire, which is why it's on my favorite movies list even though The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins isn't on my favorite books list).

I guess I should re-do the movies this way.

Summary (on the site): "It's simple. Just a game. We hold hands, hug, kiss, do all the normal couple stuff you and I both hate. The first person to fall in love loses." He smirks back at her. "Alright Chigusa, you're on." Shinji and Takako play a game in order for Takako to exact revenge on Shiroiwa High's player. AU, Program not part of the story.

Full Summary: Takako Chigusa always hated player Shinji Mimura, but never more than when he broke the heart of her best friend. For revenge, she decides to play the player, get him to fall in love with her, and then break his heart. But she gets more than she bargained for when she starts to fall for him instead.
