Hello everyone!

My name is Valérie, but please call me Val. I'm a French-Canadian, meaning English isn't my first language. Still, I just love to write, especially in the Bones fandom. I joined Fanfiction.net in January 2006, when I posted my first fanfic entitled "Just Perfect" (Bones). I've been loving it ever since, despite my long silence which last a year or two. To write fanfiction, you need to be inspired and I just didn't feel inspired by my favorite characters enough to write a story.

Most of my stories are written in the Bones fandom, but I do have some published in the The Adventures of Sinbad and in La Femme Nikita (which was my first obsession before Bones!). I'm a sucker for romance stories. I don't know about now, but when I've first joined back in 2006, I was considered the angst-queen; tearjerkers can be a specialty of mine. One thing you should keep in mind though, I love happy endings. I just can't finish a story on a negative note. I just hate it when books or movies end that way, I'm always left with a sense of "unfinished business" or whatever you want to call it.

One more thing: as I mentionned above, I'm a French-Canadian. My first language is French, but I do write my fanfictions in English. Sometimes, I might make grammar mistakes or spelling errors (though it seems that Microsoft Word 2010 has a pretty good spellchecker compared to my former one). Just bear with me. I've sure developped my English skills since the last time I wrote fanfics, but it doesn't mean that it's perfect. You probably won't notice that it isn't my first language (as many have said over the years), but it's just a little heads-up for those "grammar-strict" people on here (don't worry, I'm the same way in the French language!).
