Mr. Penderwick takes Batty to Paris to live for up to 5 years. HE is abusive and hurtful towards his daughter because he is hurt. The other children have left home already. Adrien finds himself falling for the new student that has managed to befriend everyone in their class, even Lilah and Chloe. He decided to be there for Batty in her times of need and get to know her better.
