Seishirou and Subaru buy ice cream cones on a warm day. Except Subaru loses his ice cream to a certain shikigami, and he is left with an option he did not foresee. Fluff, pining.

The Sakurazukamori was right all along. Subaru doesn't notice until reality slaps him in the face and he can't stand it anymore. He's closer to the Sakurazukamori than ever. He is perfectly okay with that. Subaru gives up. However, he will be an onmyouji of his own accord. Half a case fic and half an introspection piece.

In the worst twist of fate she can imagine, Subaru is killed by the Sakurazukamori. It shatters her entire world and she's heartbroken at everything. Hokuto lives in the world that results from that break in fate and tries to do the best she can. Subaru would want her to do that and she wants to do that for herself. Post-canon.
