I'm pretty fanatical about good spelling, grammar and punctuation in fanfiction stories. There's nothing worse than people losing readers and reviews because their story was confusing and badly edited, and I hope to be able to read through a piece and change simple errors as well as offering up suggestions for bigger changes.
One thing I would NEVER do is take a story away from it's author's origional intentions, because fanfiction is all about individual creativity and inspiration. If you give me a story to beta, it would be because you want a fresh and critical eye on your work, not because you've got writer's block and have only half-formed ideas about where a chapter is going - I get enough of that from my own stories!
What I can do for you is read through a story carefully, and correct spelling, grammar and punctuation. If I think you've muddled the plot or made continuity errors, I'll give you suggestions and advice but no more. At the end of the day, what you put on the site is your work, and only you can decide what's good for it.

I can read carefully through a script, correcting spelling, grammar and punctuation as I go. I'm used to marking essays for myself and other people, so I can spot things quite easily when I put my mind to it.
I'm English. I'm counting it as a strength because I know how difficult it is for people from other countries to get facts about British culture and sayings right sometimes. Just as a heads up, we don't all drink tea mid-afternoon and call each other 'fellows' or 'chaps'.
I know the Harry Potter books pretty well by now (I've read them ENOUGH times!) and I should be able to correct most misconceptions etc. regarding their content.

I can't promise that what you'll get back from me is perfection- noone can promise that without years of experience. Apart from that, I really couldn't say what I'm bad at, because I've never had much oppurtunity to edit people's stories, other than mine, before.

Harry Potter fanfiction is all I'll really read nowadays. I prefer romance, but humour is also greatly appreciated! I'm quite happy to read slash, and pretty much any rating, including M-rated fics, no problem there. In fact, that's mostly what I read anyway! I'll brave most pairings, but I'll tell you if there's something I'd rather not read, so ask away!

If it isn't Harry Potter fiction, I don't want to read it!
