Seriously though, I'm a fanfiction writer, what do you expect from me? I guess I have difficulties with long-term plotting and characterization, having no great experience with them. Then again, being just a beta, I'd not be expected to worry about story-defining decisions like that(I would hope).

Sci-fi/Fantasy are my preferred reading. By this I mean stories set in the sci-fi or fantasy GENRE, not stories specifically labeled that.

To clarify; I would happily read a romance story set in the Harry Potter universe, as that is Fantasy, regardless of what the active story elements are. However, I would not read a sci-fi story set in the Wuthering Heights universe, as, if you keep with the original story at all, then science fiction would be at most a sprinkling on the outside of the pastry.

That's not to say this is an iron-clad rule; there are always exceptions. But in general, use this as a guideline.

I dislike stories where the main character is seriously...out of character. Bring them to me and I'll use them to start a small but very nice bonfire.
