I'd prefer beta'ing via e-mail. If you PM me, I'll send over my e-mail address and we can begin. I won't be writing your story for you. You have to come up with, well, everything. I'll point out inconsistencies and errors. If there's any typos or grammatical errors, I'll catch them. If you feel like you're not sure where the plot is headed, I will help you brainstorm. However, the main substance will have to come from you. I'll try to stay true to your style and not rewrite anything if it can be helped. I'm usually not stern, and try to sugarcoat everything - or be tactful in constructive criticism - but repetition of similar errors may mean I'll be a little rough. It's just tough love, don't take it personally.

My strongest suit is character development. It means, it often takes me several chapters to convert the antagonistic male into a love-bunny but when it happens, it happens realistically. I'm also a very big stickler to In Character-ness. This is not required, but I prefer it that

Grammar and spelling is a given, and I have a fairly diverse vocabulary (which may or may not have been partially due to my SAT exam).

Humour. If you're looking for a well placed joke or an amusing description for something; I may be able to help. My preferred sense of humour is dry and sarcastic, mostly subtle.

I'm pretty terrible at thinking up titles or summaries, so you'll be on your own with that one.

When brainstorming, I will not be able to think up the first idea. Meaning you'll have to give me a clue or a few initial plans before I can help you come up with any confusing plotline. This is easier mid-story, but if you're looking for someone to provide you with earth-shattering ideas of what will happen next you'll need to give me some suggestions first. My mind kind of blanks if I'm put under that kind of pressure, so having a couple of suggestions helps the ideas flow smoother.

Obviously the work has to be something I'm familiar with. You'll have to inbox me asking if I've read/watched the thing you want to write about; if I have I'll be glad to help! I'm most comfortable with Romances and Humor-fics. I can work with dark fiction too, dealing with hurt, angst or strong emotions. I can also help with dark or graphic themes like rape, cutting, suicide, etc.

Although this may construe me as a homophobe (which I'm not; hardly anything but), but I don't do Slash stories. I may, on occasion, help out with FemSlash, but general slash just isn't something I could get into. That said, canon gay couples (Glee/Modern Family/etc) I can do! I'm not very good with PWPs or just random smut-fests. Don't come to me with help with that. If your story has a relevant sex scene, I'll help. Not if it's just there for the sake of it!

Horror/Suspense/Thrillers don't cut it for me. I love to read them, cannot for the life of me write them!
