I have judged a few writing contests before (on GaiaOnline.com) and I believe I can pick out grammatical errors better than I myself can pick out with my own stories. Mostly because reading over my own stories is a bit of a hassle. I'm a very hassle-free person. Not a big fan of 'hassle'.
But that's just for my OWN stories. Not to those who I shall beta-read for. :]

I'm good with picking out grammatical errors. For example the wrong use of "their, there, or they're". Or maybe an out-of-place comma. Or even a strangely arranged sentence. I aspire to become a grammar/literature teacher for high-school//college so this is also a good way to practice.

I'm an awful speller. I cannot pick out spelling errors because of the reason I have just mentioned. Spell check your story before asking me to beta it. Also I can't beta something I know none of. I've read a lot of Manga and have watched a lot of anime in my day, but that doesn't mean I've read or watched EVERYTHING so that's another bad weakness.

Well, currently I have this strange obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So any Buffy story I would love to beta for you. Also I love Shoujo. :] Some of my favorites are Skip Beat, Hana Kimi, Furuba.... just a few. I'm a big TV junkie, so I watch a lot of shows. Just ask and I will tell you whether or not I can betaread it for you. {I LOVE HARRY POTTER TOO! :] }

I hate yuri just because I don't like the whole girl-on-girl thing. It's kind of gross to me. I won't read any yuris, sorry. I don't mind much yaoi... just not anal-sex or anything like that. It's....eehhh... not for me I suppose. I used to be into big time, but not so much now....^^" Also, I'm Anti-Twilight and I won't beta twilight fanfictions. Maybe ones that are poking fun at Twilight, but not serious Twilight fics. {I used to be a fan, but after the hype started I really despise hearing//reading about it}
