I am someone who when I see a typo, I have to correct it. My mind has an incredible itch until I correct a mistake. I don't really have any expectations of people who want me to check their work, except that I don't want someone to get touchy if I point out loads of mistakes they've made. If you want me, just ask.

My grammar is pretty good and I've been told by many people I'm good at spelling. I'm often someone friends or family will turn to to ask about a spelling. I've even corrected Marcus Sedgwick on five typos found in his books.

I'm not very good at judging when semi-colons or more complex punctuation are appropriate.
