I'm Giorgia (or Gee). I love beta reading, but I prefer it if we chat too- otherwise I just feel like a spell-checking machine. Generally, I'm very quick, particularly if I'm interested in your story. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm generally very good with spelling and quite good with grammar. I'm also good at plot advice, and really enjoy the more creative and less grammatical side of beta reading. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My punctuation's not always flawless. I'm not saying that I can't use it; just that some people I know use it beautifully, and I'm not one of those people. Seeing as I'm used to writing in Italian, my sentences can sometimes be quite long-winded; but don't worry, I won't ruin your beautiful sentence structures, I'm just not going to make them even more beautiful. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love 'Ashes to Ashes' fanfictions most of all, but I also adore 'Spooks' and 'Life On Mars'(the original, not the US remake). I love a bit of fluff and comedy, but I'm also an angst fan, so it really depends. As long as it's not same old, same old (in which case I'll probably give you a bit of constructive criticism on how to make it more unique), I'll happily beta it for you. I love songfics too, particularly if they're part of a longer story. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I don't really have any of these. Anything 'Life On Mars (UK)', 'Ashes to Ashes' or 'Spooks' related is almost definitely a yes! |
