Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hello, I take it if you're reading this, you're looking for advice on your stories. So, all I can say really is a bit about how I can help YOU. I've been writting for about two or three years now. But, believe me, it's been non-stop writting. And I believe, that my creativity, language, grammar, and everything has improved by the masses. I tend to read quite a lot, especially something that can't seem to take off. So, if you really need help, then you can get in contact with me in some way, shape or form. If you want to see if you like my style, check out some of my work! I'd suggest not the nutshells though. Those were more of something made out of boredom. I'd like for you to expect critical feedback from me, and not really get hurt by anything that may sound harsh. I don't usually find anything that bad wrong with stories that cause me to be THAT critical, but I really don't want any people replying to me, telling me that they think it's out of order, or start really ranting onto me about how it's unfair. Believe me, I've had that before, and I simply didn't continue to read. So... that's it... yay ^_^ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Hmm... I guess my strengths are possibly my descriptions. I'm told that I am good at describing scenes and describing people. I... I guess I'm not sure what my strengths are. I'm good at spotting grammar errors, and will quickly point them out... I also find that I'm good at giving advice and re-writting parts for people that make it the tinniest bit better. I have done that for people before, and they say it's an improvement ^_^ |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Hmm... I can be a little bit too nice sometimes... And sometimes... I ramble on! D: If you read my stories, you'll often spot out things that really don't have to be there. Also, I sometimes use words that no one else knows, and end up confusing people. It's usually only in the stories though when it goes through the process of editing. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I'll read pretty much anything -even if it's not something I'm too keen on- but preferably, I'd like plays/musicals, Maximum Ride, Harry Potter, anime's are not too bad, something that's disney? Fantasy or mythology, um... really, give me anything and I'm happy to read it :) Oh, by the way, I'm not a homophobe or anything, so if you're thinking you need help on a slash fic, I'll help :) I'm not going to judge, and I've helped with a slash fic before. Apparantly I'm rather good at writting them xD |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
...Twilight... Please, get that away from me! D: Romances are not really a favourite of mine, And preferablly, not things that are... how do you say it?... cheesy? I really am not a big fan of cheese. Sure, a little cheese is fine, but when it goes to extents like my little pony or something, then I will be found cringing through most of it... |
