And as a writer, I specialize in character and character study. I've been told that my editing is also very helpful without being overbearing, and gives the original author suggestions for improvement without rewriting things for them.

As a betareader, I may a bit of a bitch about un-properly formatted dialogue...As a writer, I tend to overuse commas (a lá Stephanie Meyer). I always lean towards this sentence structure: "Protagonist walked towards the platform, crouching warily." Tell me if my work uses it too /

I also kinda suck at writing about actions. Action /sequences/, I can do, but not anything like a paragraph about someone's daily routine.

Anything filled with angst and tears, especially if it has to do with gay stuff. I also enjoy editing well-done songfics.

Heterosexual romance...just not my thing. Pretty much it. I mean, I don't mind it, and I've certainly read some amazing straight romance, but I just feel wrong writing or editing it.
