While I have no professional editorial background, I have done some light betaing for close friends - everything from essays for school, to fanfiction, to novels. I enjoy reading and critiquing and, being sensitive to critique myself, do my best to soften my comments and offer more than one solution to the problem. I do my best to treat others with respect and hope to receive similar treatment.

In general my schedule is pretty open and so anything submitted to me should be done fairly expediently. However, when things occur they come in swarms and so there may be spans of time when I am unavailable. If I was in the middle of a project I will do my best to complete it in a timely fashion, but if I cannot, please bear with me.

I try my best to come up with areas of balance for stories - if something is too serious I look for a place to put in some humor, vice versa, etc. I have a decent range of vocabulary and like to find ways to diversify the words used. If something's not right gramatically I'll usually notice it. For fandoms I have a deep fascination in I can generally get characters pretty close to "cannon behavior".

My grammar is not 100% (nor do I expect it ever could be) so I may miss some things with comma/semi-colon/colon useage. Additionally there are times when I feel that a different word is needed but my mind blanks.

Honestly, I would give beta preference to stories from the Pirates of the Caribbean or Digimon fandom. But anything, really, is fine by me (although forgive me if I am unfamiliar with a fandom!) Depending on my mood, I'm fine with overly comical or dark stories.

Any slash fics - I'm sorry but I simply cannot stand to read these. Additionally, anything very heavy on "romantic intimacy" - I do not desire to read anything seriously inappropriate.
