Hi, I'm Phantom! My beta-reading style is not hard, but is definitely not easy. I like to check grammar first and foremost. Grammar is absolutely essential to a story and bad grammar can distract the reader from plot, no matter how amazing it is. Messed up spelling and punctuation can annoy particular readers. I will start with small errors, then progressively correct other grammar errors I see. Then comes the story itself. If the plot is moving too fast or too slow, or doesn't make sense, I will not hesitate to question it. Keep in mind that I will try to be as nice as possible, but will also focus a lot on making as many edits as possible.

I can be a grammar Nazi when I want to. I am best at technical editing, but do know when to edit the story itself.

I tend to miss things when reading, so no edits will be perfect. Also, my plot editing needs work.

I'd like to edit fanfics for shows/books and such that I have read. I don't mind beta-reading others, but do prefer if I know the context.

M rated fanfics. I don't read them...and preferably not violent to the point of descriptive gore, I won't be able to edit it.
