Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I love to read other people's stories and I'll be critical in a good way to anyone who wishes to seek my advice on their stories. I'm an English student and so I feel I'm very qualified to do this kind of response. Anyone who wants to acquire my services should know that if I come up with anything to change, I am only trying to help you improve your story and the quality of your writing, I love reading well written stories, and will be honest in my criticism, if you don't want honesty, then I'm no the right girl! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I love novels, I love reading novels, I love reading fanfiction, but it always bugs me when people write bad stories with bad spelling and bad grammar when all of that could be perfect if they really tried. As an English student I can't help but spot mistakes like that and I think that is one point which I excel in as its something I spot quite easily. I also love reading stories and so if there is anything I think of that you could change that would improve your story I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the changes to you. I know the pressure that comes with writing a story for an open forum like Fanfiction and as I said I only want you to succeed. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I sometimes can miss things, at the end of the day, I'm only a human being. I also sometimes can have dodgy spelling and grammar myself, but then again everybody does, I'm working on it and although it sounds hypocritical that I would correct your spellings and I'm not great at spelling, I only want you to do the best that you can. I also struggle with mental health so responses may not be as quick as expected or wanted, but bear with me and we'll get there! |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I would prefer to beta Romance stories or Family stories, or even M rated ones as I read those type of stories but also I write these types of stories and so I would be able to change and help you. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Action and Horror stories are really not my cup of tea but if you really want my help, I will do my best! |
