It's senior year for Cammie, Zach and the rest of the Gallagher/Blackthorn students. An exchange between Gallagher and Blackthorn occurs. It all seems normal. Until its not. Someone Cammie never expected to see again, walks through the doors of her home. What's worst is, he bears the Blackthorn uniform.

Takes place after OTGSY, GG4. Cammie runs away, but instead of finding the Circle, someone else finds her and changes the Chameleon into someone Zach doesn't recognize anymore.

This was the life I once had. I had my family, and that's all I needed. But then my family got torn apart, my sister died, my mother left, and my dad also died. Everyone that loved me once was gone. Not even My foster parents loved me. I didn't think anyone else would be able to love a messed up girl. But, then he showed up.

Cammie hates the Blackthorne exchange program. Every other year, a group of students from Blackthorne show up at their doorstep, take over the East Wing, and invade classes, and Cam so does not need this her senior year! However, she plans to take her mom's advice; she will make the most of the situation, and finally beat a certain infuriating Blackthorne Boy at his own game.

This story is told in Bex's POV and takes place the summer between her Junior and Senior year, the summer Cammie ran. Bex was taken to DC to be questioned or interrogated by the security department, to see if she knew any additional facts about Cam's disappearance that could bring them one step closer to finding her.

She imagined it all. Because that was all she had time for. Time to fill the blank spaces in her vision. Time to believe that it could happen, that it was out there.
