Loved this. The whump, the bromance, the arguments. So well done. The way each saved the other is very in character, too. While Steve is the action hero, Danny saved Steve by being there for him through everything and by showing him that he mattered as a human being, not just as a SEAL.

Writing makes you happy? Well, reading this made me happy! I LOVED IT! You have Danny and Steve's connection to each other perfectly! I read through this and got so carried away with this story.

Of course, Steve would always think of Danny first- with the way he got the camaro to save that busload of kids, but still made sure Danny got the least impact and when he went out to look for Danny at the Yamani crime scene.

I love Danny's sense of humor as he dealt with McGarrett's dealing with his loss of sight. It was just what Steve AND Danny needed. And I love how he took charge of the whole ordeal. They are both each other's guard dogs. I got the feeling through this whole piece that even if Steve never got his vision back, he was going to be okay because Danny and also Chin and Kono were going to be right there with him and he was still going to be 5-0.

And look at Steve, he's still Ninja and SEAL and everything even without his sight. It's just who he is and I don't think that ever changed. His frustration and fear was totally understandable and written so well, but ultimately, he didn't change at all. Still the commander. I'm not surprised.

You can never get enough of Steve and Danny and if I had any problems with your work, it would be that I wish this didn't end! Would love to have read even more!

Ah that is such a lovely story! I just love the friendship between the 2 guys. They don't need to be all mushy but they know they're there for each other!

Excellent, blind Steve is better than most seeing men.

OMG what a beautiful and touching story, with all the right other elements too. I loved the image of McG struggling but going onward anyway. This one is up for a re read now. I feel like I need to go thru it and enjoy it all over again!

Oh, the angst for both Steve AND Danny to face a future so different from anything they ever imagined. Still friendship won!
