I think this deserves to be continued from one of the boys point of view. After all there is a lot they must deal with after this. She has not only shot them both but she is stealing John's baby away as she leaves... more than a bit not good. I liked it though, I had been toying with writing a story along similar lines and now I guess I don't have to.

Poor Mary... I worried about this in the show, what if she'd accidentally shot John thinking it was Sherlock. You portrayed it beautifully. X3

What about their kid? What will happen to the baby? How could she do that? In my imagination, Sherlock is going to track her down, and once he tells John, John will be mad, but decide he'd rather be mad at a Mary who is there, than a Mary who is gone, and helps Sherlock. Eventually, they find her, they all talk it out, and with some help from their darling baby girl, Mary comes back.

This was very good. I kind of wish that this was what had happened in the show, too. Oh, well. This was an excellent job.
