Beautigully written and the perfect length, you managed to capture Vanitas personality even though we didn’t got to know him that much in Birt By Sleep. First of all I just want to say well done. This is one of the best stories I’ve ever read on here, and by now I have to have read thousands. Despite that, there are a few that will always stick out, and I’m glad to add this one to that list. Second, about the pairing. Normally I’m much more of a Terqua guy myself, but in this story I have to make an exception because you EARNED it. That’s what I can’t stand about most Aqua x Vanitas stories: they just throw them right into loving each other despite have tried to kill each other at every chance. You didn’t. You gave them time to sort that out, move past it, and then become friends. For that, massive respect my dude. Looking forward to seeing where these two head from here!

Wow, I don't know where to start... Well I just finished to read your story and it was simply amazing ! I never imagined someone could write this way about Van and Aqua ! When I first see your summary, I thought it must be difficult to write about these two... But you did it perfectly ! I laughed, I cried, I feel a large panel of emotions during my reading and I love it !
You portray Van and Aqua so well, the evolution of their relationship is just perfect and now, I feel guilty to ship them instead of my traditional Aqua/Terra. Yes, your fanfiction is really powerful to make me question my ships, congratulations !
Also I'm really impressed by the way you wrote the fighting scenes, I always struggle to write them, and yet you made them so dynamic , easy to imagine, perfect job here !
Your Vanitas is really perfect, you made me love him so much more than I did. In the chapter 25, I cried so much at the end and the relief was strong in the chapter 26, when badass Aqua came to the rescue ! Thank you for writing this master piece, it lightened my weekend ! And I see you're writing a midquel, so there's no reason I wouldn't read it !
Well, long story short, your story is so well written, you characters' developement is perfect and I'm just starting to like the Van/Aqua ship, thanks to you !

Okay, where to start?
Hopefully this review won't get too long (but I know myself and HELL it's going to last on forever, will add a TL;DR at the end) [also if you are a weird person reading reviews before reading the fic this will have heavy spoilers]

First of all, I don't usually read any fanfic longer than 3 chapters. I have troubles focusing on anything too long (a miracle I actually finished the KH games!), and yet I spent THREE evenings reading all 27 chapters of this fic, spending all day wanting to come back home to read the next chapter.
I decided to give a go to your fic 'cuz I wrote an Aqua/Vani oneshot a couple of days ago (I see their relationship as platonic as TerrAqua is my OTP), and I was simply happy to see that a fic was about both of them! And then I noticed the 27 chapters, winced, and thought I'd read the first chapter to see how it goes.

I loved your writing style. Writing fighting scenes is something I have a lot of troubles with, and yours were so fluid I could almost see the battle in front of me. You managed to integrate the Command System in such a way it felt natural, not out of the place, it really fit there, and for that, kudos.
Also, the evolution of the characters and their relationship was incredibly well done. Sure, 27 chapters is (for someone like me) a bit long, but it was not wasted time, you just gave them plenty of room to evolve, and if I had read one of those hugging scenes (damn my heart was barely strong enough for that) before reading the full story I would have been like "Meh, that's so OOC", and yet IT WASN'T because we have been able to see them grow closer, step by step, with a lot of talent.

Reading that story, I laughed a lot (Who would have thought Vani was so pure? When he tried to touch Aqua's breast I was dying), stressed a lot (every time that Wind was involved I was so nervous), a squeaked way too many times at Vanitas being the most precious creature ever. As I said earlier, I don't particularly ship them (although I have no issue with that), but even that epilogue with them being together just fit in, it had to be there, it was its place to be.

I was really surprised to see Mickey and Riku at the end (was gawking at my screen like an idiot for longer than I'd like to admit), and really happy they were here!

Right now I want to scream out of all the happiness your story brought me (Had I been Van so many Inversed would be invading my room), and I gave the link to a friend and basically spammed her so that she would read it (and she is reading as I am writing 8D ).

Anyway, thank you so much for this story. I was reluctant to read something so long and now I see that I would have missed one of the best stories I've ever read on this website. I am going to read all those fics you mentioned because I do love Vani a lot (but I'm pretty sure he will not show up in KHIII :'( ) and now I will feel pretty guilty anytime I kill an Unversed or... Well, or Vanitas himself in BBS. I never played 0.2 and I feel that the day I will start to play I will look for Van everywhere and cry at not finding him.
