this is so good and so sad and i love it so much the only emotion i have for it is just SCREAMING i love it !

Yeah, well I absolutely love these types of stories, where Hiccup becomes depressed and even suicidal because it seems rather realistic after what is assumed to happen before the first movie. So yeah i think you should do a longer one but still sad.

Actually, Hiccup would have been set a flame on a viking pyre or in the boat, like Stoick in the second movie

The start of the fic implies that it takes place after the raid at the start of the movie. Is this true and if so, if hiccup killed himself instead of heading to ravens point, what happened to toothless, still bound in hiccup's bolas with half a tail?

I think you should write a longer one and have the ending decide for itself. This one shot was wonderful, but a longer version might lend to more emotion for the reader to get struck with.
