Wow, this is haunting and great! A wonderful new spin on mermaid lore! I feel so sad though, the ending was bitter sweet. Abby died, sort of, but at long last she gets to have a loving family!

I think.. you should continue this.. make it into a novel.

This is so interesting and so beautiful. I literally couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know more! The ending was a little bittersweet, but I am glad Abby got to drown Adam. You are very talented and this is such a unique and interesting story you did.

I loved this story and its a very interesting concept that no doubt hasn't really been done before and I am once again amazed at how good of a writer you are and I have no doubt that you will continue to have fans and that possibly one day you may become a famous writer and if you do I would be honored to read your writings.

Oooh my goodness! This was excellent! You set up a believable person in a believable world! Then you made us fall in love with that girl and watch as she tried to better her life. Mind you I wanted to punch Adam sooo badly when I found out how he had betrayed her! Yes, yes this would be entirely in character for a pirate but still... bastard! Wonderfully written story! I loved it!

Interesting, quite the change of pace from your normal stories but still very good. I'm glad you're just as good as writing original stories as you are at writing fanfiction. Keep up the good work!
