Binge chapter 1 . 5/10/2017 Yikes. Love it |
The Batlord chapter 1 . 2/17/2015 I actually read A Darker Shade of Love last night (loved it), and then just happened upon this story on Archive of Our Own, having no idea you were the same person. I was all like, damn, TWO people managed to capture that hopeless, inevitable atmosphere of nihilism so perfectly? But of course, it's just the one awesome writer. And now I see you have an 85,000 word epic? Gotta get in on that shit. Now. I was always weird about the whole Debster thing. I mean, they're brother and sister and all that, and season 6 treated it so awkwardly and out of the blue that I was almost glad when they dropped it like a sack of potatoes the next season. But that sense of wrongness was kind of perfect for the show, and romantic or not, they're still OTP. Any love interest is going to play second fiddle their own relationship. So there's something oddly "right" about the idea. Glad to see somebody who explores that without trying to get around everything that's wrong about the idea with sappy fluff. P.S. Part 2 would be epic. |
Anonymous chapter 1 . 4/12/2014 So good |
Santanella chapter 1 . 3/3/2014 It's hard to imagine Deb like this... No, I never thought that she ever would find her own Dark Passenger! It feels masochistic, but ... Will you continue this story? And I really miss Fate is in the Offing. I hope you will finish this story, too! |
Crow Rat chapter 1 . 2/20/2014 Wow... that was deep. Rollercoaster of deep fuckery. I loved it. |
darknessfalls28 chapter 1 . 2/16/2014 NOOOOOOOO! Was my reaction when this chapter ended. You did such a brilliant job reversing their roles gradually and I could totally see this happening. Very very dark and beautiful in a twisted way. And this is indeed the way the world ends. (Although I would not complain if you decided to continue this story and rescue her. A little tough love would do the trick, methinks.) |
the harsh realm chapter 1 . 2/13/2014 Well, that was agonizing. Still worth it though! This piece is outstanding and one of a kind, and your take on where the story could have gone from 7x12 is morbidly interesting. Deb’s gradual transformation is particularly chilling. She ends up where Dexter started, and vice versa. Karma is a bitch indeed. In some ways this fate is worse, crueler, than Deb literally dying. It’s also more poetic. Dex finally becomes what Deb once thought he’s always been, and he’s finally able to give her what she needed, but alas, he has already lost the person Deb *was*. There’s nothing left except an empty shell. |
Gefionne chapter 1 . 2/12/2014 My goodness, a Debster story that is actually true to character. Well done! |
PSiwrotethis chapter 1 . 2/12/2014 I'll forgive you for not updating the other story right away simply because this was fjsdmkgehiusbdfn kjgbweav ... Google would probably translate that as "amazing"... |
