The fact that you don't bring them first but instead choose to develop Mai and Reiko (ligues better than Tate) was really nice. And I love the Chess parts as well.

This was definitely a great fic. Haven read a one-shot like this in a while now. It was beautiful -is beautiful.

This is one of the best post-Carnival one shots I've read, and easily one of my favorites. The writing struck all the right notes, and the way you intertwined chess strategy / pieces with the characters and the progression of the story was perfect. Thanks for writing such a wonderful story, as well as for sharing that badass image of Natsuki in her black and red fukukaichou uniform. :) Makes me wish I could draw, or that someone would.

I must admit, I was drawn in by the summary, and though I'm not a massive chess fan, I thought those interludes went perfectly with the story. I enjoyed reading this.
