Love it! That kiss! And that last line. Brilliant!

So . . . I was bored at work, and this little vignette came back to my mind, and my brain, being my brain, continued the story. Well, more accurately, little flashes of semi-complete . . . sections? Not even full scenes. Her grabbing his hand and running out of the party, pulling him behind her. Then them in sickbay (I assume getting a hypo to sober him up or something?) making out on a biobed, him laying on top of her, her one leg wrapped around him in capris pants and white low-heeled sandals, and the Doctor and Seven coming in as the Doctor's saying, "I downloaded the entire kama sutra to my data base," then finding them there. Kathryn dropping her head back to the biobed with a frustrated groan/huff/growl and shouting, "Computer, initiate site-to-site transport of captain and first officer to captain's quarters!"

Yup. Those exact moments, fully complete in my brain, sprang to mind. lol

Late to the party but loved this :) genuinely cackled at the idea of the conga line braking when they saw them!

How in the world did I manage to miss this little gem of yours? Hilarious! So much delicious fun. I laughed out loud as Chakotay's... uhm... state after the fact. Lol! "Give me a minute." Indeed! :D

If your goal was to make us smile then you exceeded it significantly. Although I can't quite see Janeway being like this, I loved this story. I had two gigantic belly laughs that made my dogs give me the "she's being crazy" look. The first was the line about the crew scattering- I coukd totally picture this and I wish I had written it- and the second was, of course, the ending. I have read several of your stories and enjoyed them all but thid is my favorite so far. Cheers!

This is such fun. I loved the entire story, but it was the line "the entire party behind him scatter in a blind, unreasoning group panic." made me snort with laughter. Delightful!
