Awww, of course it wouldn't go as planned. From the time they're conceived, children are know to royally mess up their parents' plans. It's genetically engraved in them or something. Castle and Beckett's daughter would *not* be an exception to that rule. ;)

This was sweet and touching.

With them being in separate cities and being who they are, their plans for having the baby would not go smoothly. You certainly proved that in spades.

Still, you were able to get Castle down to Kate and be able to take her to a hospital to deliver their daughter.

You did an excellent job with them looking at their baby girl all the while having Castle try to come up with a name.

Kate's comment at the end was just perfect. Good job.

Thank you for this. As lovely as seilleanmor's story is - and it is lovely - I needed this "Rick is alive to see his baby" story after crying my eyes out when reading the other story.

Loved his word play with "wreck-less" and eyebrow wiggle even if she isn't there to see it. Love that he jumped in his car to be with her. Love that the baby waited for Daddy. Love Kate telling Rick that he should name her since she was born in Kate's city. Love that he can't remember any of the names on the list, but Kate wants him to say "hello" so the baby can hear his voice. Wonderful story that put a smile on my face on a Monday morning.

I think I love Maisie almost as much as Ella. Or maybe just the same. I need more Maisie to test that out.

I love this story and I am sorry about the other story, that I can't read. But Castle stories need him alive, happy and with Kate... ...Thank You for writing this one!
